It's actually quite good if used and cooked properly. We use it in a lot of out dishes back home to add a bit of texture and flavor. But for cucumber rolls, it's merely to hold the rice and vegetables in place and not get them all over your fingers. Plus, you don't really taste the seaweed all that much in this dish, since it's so overpowered by the rice, vegetables, and dipping sauces. I'll have to treat you to a few of our foods one day!

[She hops up and down on to counter in front of him.] If you don't have any seaweed, we could always just make rice balls and have sliced vegetables on the side!
