Hey- Buffy. I need to talk to you.

...Or Yuri, I don't really care who it is.

[After Guy's rather uneventful kidnapping right under their noses, Asch is feeling suitably irritated and downight volatile. He's trying to channel his temper into a more productive use, however; early in the day, he can be found stretched out on the lawn behind House 5, lying on his stomach and facing Star, the yellow cheagle. From the look of things, he's playing a rather bizarre game of fire Ping Pong with it- Star spits a fireball at him, and he uses his palm to either dissolve it or bat it back at the cheagle, who dodges deftly. Each time, Asch flicks a little treat in Star's direction, who munches it down before starting the cycle over again.

If one were to look closely, they might see a little flicker of light on Asch's palm right before the fire touches it. At his side are two swords, both sheathed; one, the Maestro sword, the other an unfamiliar katana. If caught in the moment he might actually look... relaxed, despite the situation. It's not going to last long, though.]

[Luke's been pretty irritable because of the kidnapping, too. He knows that with Guy gone, Ion's gone, too... And they can't do anything except wait. The worrying and the waiting is just killing the guy.

He opens the door, having planned on venting in the barracks when he noticed Asch's little activity with Star. Huh. That flicker of light... was that...?

... And is Asch actually playing with the cheagle?]

Asch?

[It's training, training, get it right D| Asch hears the door, and Luke's call, but pays it no mind; hyperresonance requires too much concentration to really focus on much else. Still, he is improving, since each individual hyperresonance has to be formed quickly and instinctively, rather than with time and effort.]

[Luke certainly knows that, so he isn't surprised to get silence in return. Instead of continuing to prompt him, Luke sits down on the porch and watches Asch ~~play~~ train. Maybe he could learn a thing or two... And it's kind of nice to see Asch getting along so well with the cheagle.]

[And if Luke ever wonders where the cheagle spends the night...

...cough. Anyway. Eventually Star takes notice of their quiet observer, ducking one final fireball from Asch, accepting his treat, and scampering over to greet Luke properly, munching on it. And since he's lost his training partner, Asch rolls over and sits up, eyeing Luke and debating whether or not to snip at him for the interruption or let the replica wallow in misery with him. Misery does, occasionally, like company. Though not often when he's involved.]

[... bzuh?]

Huh? ... What is it? [God Asch it's secretly-mope-o'clock what the hell do you waaaaaant.]

[No, stupid, this is prepare-for-secret-mission-o'clock.]

House 5, if you have time. It's important. [And not journal-friendly.]

[You have another stalker, Asch, though this one is far less noticeable. Miyabi had heard the grim news of the kidnapping and infiltration, and remembered that Guy knew Asch when she talked with them, so she...kind of assumed her friend needed a bit of company.

When she sees the sight and the adorable little furry rabbit...thing, she giggles quietly and waits, sitting on the leaf of a flower that hadn't died just yet. Don't catch of fire now.]

[B-But secretly-mope-o'clock allllllways comes after train-twice-as-long-as-usual-o'clock! ... But ugh, god, fine, w/e man B|]

... All right. I'll be right over. [And closing journal now to head over there. Considering house 5 isn't far from house 12 (and he wasn't doing anything at the moment, either), he should be showing up in about five minutes.]

Yeah, Asch?

[Her chipper, normally over-the-top friendly sound is gone. Instead, she matches the gravity of his voice.]

[Hopefully she's not watching from behind the cheagle, because the fireballs are bouncing that way |D

And speaking of cheagles, if poncles have a scent he might get a bit distracted and try to sniff her out, ohoho. Otherwise, Asch is completely none the wiser.]

[Well sorry if you got picked for a super-secret-mission and not him, or they wouldn't have to deal with this. 8|

Asch is still working with the cheagle in the meantime, but as Yuri approaches, Asch sits up to face his direction, Star shyly scampering over to hide behind him. Straaaaangers, noooo.]

[Yeah well-- ... fiiiiine :(

Regardless, while he walks over, he does notice Star, and ... pausing for a moment to stare. Wait a sec. He's pretty sure there's the occasional furball from these things in remote areas, and that they make children's dolls in his world that look exactly like--

...

Right. He came here for a different reason. Looking over at Asch now.]

... So, what's up?

[Nah, she has a bit more intelligence than that. Miyabi's sitting on her leaf a few feet to the side of them both, lazily swinging her legs.

...Are you saying she stinks? B| Jerk. But yes, poncles do indeed have a scent, it's just very faint. An animal ought to sniff them out, though, and she had been cooking earlier, too.]

[Asch lifts a brow at Yuri's staring, but once the conversation is back on track, he pays it no mind.]

Can you bring a weapon to the battlefield for someone inside?

[In that case, Star dodges one last fireball, then skitters towards her, sniffing the air. His behaviour makes Asch sit up, looking around suspiciously.]

What? There's nothing here.

[Oh, gods, as long as the cute rabbit thing doesn't try to eat her ~~l-like so many others orz~~, Miyabi's going to giggle again, a bit louder.]

That's right. No one here but us plants!

[... Ah. So that's what this is about. That'd probably also explain why he's got two swords with him. If he's putting the pieces together right, then he doesn't see any problems with agreeing to do this ~~even if he'd do it anyway, regardless of whether or not carrying an extra weapon around would be cumbersome for him~~.]

... All right. [And to clarify--] What kind of weapon? And for who?

A katana. [Asch hefts the katana at his side - which happens to sheath the disco rave sword of the century - and tosses it Yuri's way. It's a tad heavier than most katana would be, but that's because the sheath is a heftier kind of wood.] It's Guy's.

[Thankfully cheagles are vegetarians, so the most she gets is an inquisitive sniffing, getting more emphatic as he hears and follows the voice. Asch binks at the noise, then inwardly facepalms. He knows who it is now.]

Miyabi, what the hell?

[He'll be catching that, giving it a glance-over before lowering it to his side. He'll probably check out the blade itself later ~~and wonder why it looks like a box of crayons threw up on it~~. But hmm, so Guy's a swordsman too, huh? Not exactly surprising, but still interesting.]

I'll make sure I get it to him, then.

[Asch just nods; he's awkward with thank yous and the like. He doesn't know Yuri all that well, but Guy wouldn't have mentioned his name if there wasn't a certain level of trust there.]

...It's fine, Yuri took care of it. [Though there's still the matter of him having to rely on others to keep an eye Guy. Maybe he should ask around a bit.]

[Oh you silly awkward people and your awkwardness. Yuri just smirks a bit.]

Well, if that's all, I'll be going. [And he turns to start doing just that.]

[S-So cute, furry rabbit thing. Miyabi leaps right over towards it first, landing on it's little nose.]

I'm sorry, was I bothering you? I thought I'd stop by for a little bit. [She smiles at those big cheagle eyes, speaking softly.] Hee...hello, there. Can you speak?

Hey, Star.

[Once Star reaches him, Luke reaches out to give him a little scritch on the head, right where Mieu liked it. He's not quite as annoying as his own pet, so he deserves it.

Something else has his attention more, though, so he looks up at Asch after he lifts his hand away.]

Was that hyperresonance?
