[There isn't much less pleasant than waking up cold and alone, is there? Which is exactly how Asch finds himself this morning- on his own in a tent behind the battle dome, no longer an adult but rather regressed to the tender age of about 11. In his haste to get up and figure out what's going on, he knocks over the journal, and it catches his alarmed call as he opens the tent flap to find a lot of snow and not much else.]

...Master Van...?

[This isn't the cozy, temperate region of Daath, which is puzzling, because he knows he'd been in Daath the night before. Where, then...?]

Master Van!

[Had he been abandoned? No... Van had said he needed him! There must be a reason for this.

Not noticing the journal, Asch tucks the blanket around himself and starts shuffling out through the snow, wandering into the village in search of something - anything - familiar.]

[Okay, this is... weird, but it's kind of nice, too. Her fur is warm and fluffy, so after just resting his hand there for a long moment, he slowly begins to stroke her fur, getting a feel for what it's like to pet an animal.]

...You're really strange. [Who ever heard of a tame wolf?]

[His gaze follows the movement of her hand, eyes narrowing.]

Don't treat me like a kid.

[Travelling with someone might be logical, but he's not about to hold her hand.]

[...Temperate. With a blizzard going on, when it was sunny and warm the last place he was in? He'll have to take her word for it, but he looks pretty dubious. What a weird place.]

[Asch waits quietly and watches as Guy cooks, finally getting over his caution and gulping down the drink hungrily. When the scent of food fills the air, his mouth waters, and a moment or so later a little furry creature bounds into the kitchen like it owns the place.

Asch stares.]

[Hey now, she offers her hand to a lot of people. She raises an eyebrow and pulls her hand back, then straightens up.]

Very well. My offer still stands, though.

[Guy reaches down to pick up the cheagle, holding it out to Asch with a faint smile.] Here. Wanna hold him?

[Asch stares at the cheagle some more, and this time the cheagle stares back. After a long moment, Star mieus at him, cocking his head to the side as if trying to sort him out.]

...What would I do with it?

[Seriously what is he supposed to do with a sacred beast. Wait, is it a pet!?]

[There's something strangely familiar about that kid, enough so that it catches Emil's attention as he's taking Sial for a walk. Sial recognizes that scent right away, however, and races over to run in a happy circle in front of Asch in the hopes of being petted.]

[He gives it a few moments of thought, then nods reluctantly.] Fine...

[Asch jumps back, more startled than afraid, though he remains wary. Auldrant has some small monsters, but even they can be dangerous when you have nothing to fight them with.]

[She gives a half smile at that.] Good! I'll take you to the clothing shop first; I at least know where that is.

[Stella turns and walks away, expecting Asch to follow, and as she does:] We might as well know each other's names if we're going to travel together. I'm Stella.

L- [He falters; still not used to it. He shakes it off quickly, though, glancing around and following after her.] I'm Asch.

[Asch? Who'd name their child Asch? It does have a nice ring to it, though.]

Good to meet you. [Stella, too, glances around, as if she's trying to find some kind of clue as to where they are.] Did you suddenly wake up in this place too?

[Miyabi swishes her tail and leans forward to nuzzle his cheek with her nose gently, and give it a soft lick. |D D'aww, tiny!Asch. You're just as cute as your replica counterpart. ♥ But she can't tel you stay out here by yourself, not in this weather.

Giving a huff to the 'strange' part, the wolf nudges Asch's shoulder and directs his attention to the tip of her tail. Hopefully he can read, because she's going to write.]

You're a bit weird yourself, you know. Are you lost?

[Guy dumps Star into Asch's lap with a grin before turning back to the meal at hand.]

[Suddenly finding himself with a startled, squeaking cheagle, Asch has little choice but to hold it and keep it from falling off, eyeing it dubiously.]

It's not going to breathe fire in my face, is it?

[He's focusing on the warming-up task first, wracking his brain and trying to think of where the heck Luceti might be.]

Of course. Any idiot knows to wear gloves and boots in snow.

[Asch can definitely read, which is why he starts to stare at the snow, jaw dropping.]

You can write!? [Wait, IT USED ITS TAIL TO DO THAT!?]

[Adoptive creeper pedobeard commandants, apparently.]

I woke up in a tent. [He points back the way he'd come from.] Over there somewhere...

A tent? [Stella looks a bit baffled, but... hm. Maybe she could use that tent. She definitely doesn't want to stay in some house and settle in this place, like all of the village seems to be doing.

Still... No wonder he looks so cold. Not that Stella will point it out.]
