relinquishing: (☼ And if you are gone)

[Action] wow I have never felt so unprepared for a conversation /braces self

[Guy had no idea what was going on with Asch.

Luke had only told him that his original was back. Many. Many. Times. It was the reason Luke was hardly in the apartment. Why Guy was barely able to catch him to even ask what the hell he was doing with all his time in the first place. It was Asch. Always Asch. Luke's priority seemed to be strictly focused on helping his original with... something. What, exactly, he hadn't quite said. But the importance of it was made perfectly clear.

That... and the fact that Guy needed to talk to him. To say something.

Luke asked him multiple times - enough that it was getting to be an annoyance. Guy had waved it off, day after day, simply because... well, he wasn't sure what he could say. Apologizing to Luke had been hard enough. Somewhere in his gut, he knew that a straight up apology to Asch would be laughed off. Hardly believable or worthy of any type of merit, coming from him.

Not that he felt he could give a completely honest apology right about now.

But late in the week, he'd finally caved. He just... requested that Luke leave them alone. If he was going to talk to Asch, he didn't want the unnecessary guilt filtering in from Luke. That wasn't going to help anything.

But damn if he wasn't short of words right now. Even just standing in the doorway of the room and glancing at the redhead for the first time in over a week left an uncomfortable, unfamiliar feeling in his stomach. Enough that he just wanted to turn around and leave. Let the God General figure out things on his own - let him think whatever the hell he wanted. He didn't care. He shouldn't care.

It was Asch, after all.

So why...

...

Lips stay shut as he walks further into the room, quietly grabbing a chair and pivoting it to flop on it backwards, arms crossed across the back as he rests his chin against them. Just. Looking. Waiting for a response. Something to make this a little less awkward.

The lack of acknowledgement from Asch was hardly helping that feeling.

Damn. How are you supposed to talk to someone you just killed?]
