Tear's here now as well. With more of the replica's group showing up, among other people from Auldrant, I can't help but worry about--

...no, they wouldn't bring her here.

About time the weather improved. Guy, Luke- when there's less mud on the ground, I need some exercise.

Mm, yeah. Like your father and Belkend, but a little more hands-on than that.

[Guy swings his leg a bit.] I don't remember a lot; it was so long ago, and I was so little. I remember going out to sea with my family a few times, and I remember when my mother taught me how to swim. I remember Van singing to me, and he and Mary playing with me while Father met with the officials that would come every so often. Just little tidbits here and there.

I'd be a very, very different person if things hadn't turned out the way they had, Asch. And so would you, probably.

[Wipe that emo off your face, boy.] And I'd be a pampered crybaby.

So we probably wouldn't have gotten along. At all.

Oh, definitely. And I've have told on you to my father.

You'd have challenged me to a duel.

If I was as pathetic as I was when I was small, my father probably would have. He wouldn't stand for a Gardios to be a whiner.

I cried a lot; I was very spoiled. I was the only male heir to the Gardios name, after all, and I suppose Father might have had something to do with it. It was mostly Mother and Mary, though.

Mothers love their sons. That's not a nobility thing.

Mm, the good ones. [Guy closes his eyes.]

It's easier than it was. [Guy smiles, though he doesn't open his eyes.]

I remember when I first started forgetting their faces. That was the worst. But...I don't know, I guess it's not that sad now. Better to keep them in my heart than in my mind's eye, you know?

No, we're different because of a lot of other things, not because you were selfish or because I was bitter and hateful. It can't be summed up like that.

I still don't think that's it. [Guy glances over at him.] ...but I don't feel like going into it. It's pointless to dwell on these things, and it'll just make us depressed.
