Asch is wandering around the village a bit, looking for a good spot to practice some artes without killing anyone, maybe get some thinking done somewhere other than at home. He's not in any particular mood, good or bad, so if you're lucky you'll catch his good side. His journal is open since he's checking a folded map he's got attached to it, so if you're lucky, you might hear him muttering a bit.]

...so the lake's... further west from here. Damned trees turned me around...

[She sits and wags her tail lightly. Now, why would she want to go get food when she can chill with you? ...Granted food is good.]

[....D'aww. Good old Ammy. Asch sighs faintly and stops, finally turning back and crouching down to pet her. This is the kind of company he enjoys most - silent.]

I keep wondering where you run off to, and how you always manage to find people like this...

[I'm a wizard. Well, not really, but I'm close to it. Ammy leans up to the pettings and wags her tail harder, enjoying the feeling. She also takes a couple of steps forward and looks out towards where he was walking, wondering just where he was heading.]

[How wonderfully magical. Asch scratches the top of her head, turning his own to follow her line of sight.]

[The lake, huh? Ammy looks up at him again, head tilted. Why are you going to the lake? Do you want a bath? I'd go but I hate baths.]

[Alas, for Asch is not psychic.]

She clearly remembers when Stahn dunked her in the lake, so she gives a snort and heads on that way.]

[Miraculously Asch gets the hint, rising and following her through the woods.]

[Of course I'm sure. She nods as she walks, making sure to go slow enough so that he can walk behind her.

Sure enough, it doesn't take them long to reach the lake. She's not going to get close to it though, instead she looks up at Asch curiously. What does he plan on doing here?]

[That one's easy, Ammy - he gives her head a grateful scratch and steps away from her, drawing his sword and starting to work on a basic set of artes, eyes narrowed, focusing on getting every move perfect. He hadn't exactly been getting rusty, but back in Daath he'd gotten into the habit of practicing daily, and since leaving the Knights and then coming to Luceti, he'd fallen behind.]

[Ah, so this is what he wanted to do? Train? Well, Ammy watches with interest, though she also eyes the lake. It'd be so entertaining to just knock him in there, but she knows better than to fluff the cockatiel's feathers.]

[Best be careful, pup. If you send Asch into the lake you'll end up going for a swim yourself. :|]

[That would be fun if it weren't for the, you know. Water. The temptation is growing though, so much that she shifts on her paws.]

[Asch is busy mustering his strength and muttering under his breath, and is thus distracted. It takes focus to cast a fonic arte, after all.]
