Guy, I know you don't think it's a good idea to go into the tunnels, but I want to help. They need healers and soldiers, and we both meet the requirements. I think it would be safer for Florian to be with the others, anyway.

Asch, I really think it's a bad idea.

Why?

Putting everyone in the same spot, really? You don't see what's wrong with that?

It might not be the best idea, but we're not safe divided, either. Some people might find comfort in being with a larger group.

Except that the Malnosso already made it clear that they wanted everyone affected dead. What's to stop them from just releasing something down there? A gas, a flood, anything.

The companionship would be a comfort, maybe, but that's all the good it'll do.

[Asch obviously notices, reaching out with his free hand to curl it around Guy's fingers.] We're not going to die.

[Guy shifts his weight.] This is genocide.

[Asch can't disagree.] I've seen a lot of death in my life, but I've always had some level of control over it. This is different.

[Guy scuffs his boot against the doorjamb, silent.]

[No one's around to hassle him. Asch gets up close, pressing his lips to Guy's neck.] I'm sorry.

Hm? For...what, this? [Guy shakes his head slightly, reaching up to touch Asch's hair.] It's fine.

Mm. [Asch sighs, resting there and closing his eyes.] I know you didn't want to go, but...
