[It's early morning; between Natalia's sudden disappearance and Guy's little event-related affair this past week, Asch is officially in a shit mood right now, and has entered that oh-so pleasant "leave me the hell alone" mentality that he's so fond of. Thus, he's left the house and wandered off to walk along the river along the western side of the village, heading for nowhere in particular - his only goal is to get out.

If you're willing to handle his bitchery, feel free to strike up a conversation or meet him en route. He's armed but for once not dangerous, just moody. |D]

[Okay, even for someone who's used to facing demons and monsters left and right back home, which could probably make anyone else cry for the rest of their lives, that face alone is enough to make the poor girl flinch. She's just trying to help, Asch, god.

There's a long pause before she stands up on his palm and gathers herself a little, twitching her wings.]

I'm sorry...I only wanted to help. I can't do anything about your friend, but I can lend and ear, or at least give you some company.

[Pfff okay, not going to laugh, not going to laugh! That's pretty freaking cute, but we're trying not to laugh. The ponclet bites her lip to stifle a tiny giggle, and in two bounding leaps, she lands herself right on his head again. Her voice sounds calmer, more gentle as she crosses her arms and smirks.]

[He pauses at that, lips pursing. He must look pretty silly, with a little glowing ball on the top of his head. He can't imagine not being mocked by anyone who happens to pass by.

Then again, when does he ever care about what people think of him?]

[Nonsense, poncles are all the rage in Europe! You look simply ~gawjuz~, Asch. Miyabi immediately begins to cuddle into his hair once she's comfortable, and plucks out pieces of leaves that had fallen into it. Whoops...]

I don't see why not. I need to explore more of this place anyway. And besides, I enjoy your company. If you want to talk, I'll be up here. [And she'll be leaning onto her stomach now, relaxing.]

[wtf does that even mean idk Asch lifts his eyes momentarily when he feels the leaves falling, then shrugs it off and keeps moving.]

[She smiles and lazily strings her fingers through his hair, humming to herself. This was pretty relaxing, and was doing wonders for her bad mood, at least a little. It took her mind of it.]

[She hums again, quietly, stopping here and there to mull over notes and the tune she was thinking of. How did that song go again? It didn't have any words...]

[He ducks under a particularly low tree branch, Making sure he goes low enough to avoid knocking her off.]

[How considerate of you, Asch, though she's laying pretty low, too. His question snaps her out of it, and she answers with a little hum in return.]

Hm? Am I bothering you? ...I was just thinking of an old lullaby I heard when I was small. It's hummed, not sung, since there aren't words to it. [He listens quietly as he walks, not interrupting, surprisingly. It is actually pretty soothing; his mother used to hum and sing for him when he was a kid and she was well enough, so it stirs up good memories instead of bad.]

[When she finishes her little song, she smiles and lays back. Poor Asch, he must be missing his friend a lot if he was just wandering around aimlessly, and acting so upset. That person must have been very close to him. She doesn't say anything, just kind of lays there quietly. If he wants to talk about it, he can, though she isn't exactly expecting him to. Boys are silly, and never talks about their problems.]

[Boys really are silly, and he's one of the worst; he'll never say a word to anyone unless it's forced out kicking and screaming. It's a wonder anyone endures him at all.]

[Oh, Miyabi's used to people like that. She's lived with Issun for quite a long time - much longer than you've been alive, Asch. She knows how to deal with silly boys like you, and luckily has some patience. At least when it matters. Even so, she's not a rock, and eventually speaks up.]

Mm...thank you for keeping me company, Master Asch. It's taken my mind off my troubles and that stupid experiment. [She pauses for a second before adding, softly.] Uhm...I-I hope you're feeling better, too.

[Asch looks up again, briefly, then shrugs.]

It was a chance meeting, it's not like I went looking for you. [But that sounds outright nasty, and she's a nice enough girl, so let's try this again.] You were affected?

[It's a good thing she doesn't take it that way, or at least understands his wording. She was about to say something, but her voice seems to clip off before she does. Miyabi is quiet for a while before she speaks, finally. Just ignore the menacing tone of her voice, or how it could cut diamond with how sharp it sounds, Asch. She's really just a sweet and adorable sprite. ...Most of the time.]

...Yes, I was. If you're aware of a demon named Aku, he was the one I was paired up with. [She grinds her teeth together, aura turning red hot in a matter of seconds. The disgrace and embarrassment was not something she wants to openly discuss.] Were you affected, too?

[Nah, considering her size, Miyabi's aura only feels like putting your face a little too close to a bit of steam. Nothing too intense. Besides, she's trying not to blow up with him here. Manners, and all that.]

[She moves to look down at him, her anger simmering down a little.] No one from my homeland is here except for Mother Amaterasu, so I wouldn't know exactly, but--uhm...something like this can't break apart two people, if they're really close.

Though...I would very much like to see you fight. You don't look like you'd use the same style as me. What kind of blade do you use, anyway? Sumomo is a katana.

[He huffs very faintly, looking like he's going to ignore her question for a moment, then grabs the hilt of his sword, drawing it out a few inches to show her. It's just his Maestro broadsword, nothing fancy.]

[Asch, lifting thr sword out a few inches does not give the full effect of seeing the entire blade. Miyabi frowns, facepalms, but takes a look, moving down closer - to his shoulder. From what she does see, it's rather impressive.]

You've used it a lot. [She nods and smiles. Nothing fancy, but nothing she's ever seen before. The hilt, design, and color was completely different.] It must trust you, and you must be quite skilled. I wasn't kidding when I said I'd like to spar. I don't think that's possible though. But it'd be fun.
