I need to speak with one of the Malnosso.

[Today, Asch is all over the place. First to the plaza, to check the item bazaar for a few things; next, to the north edge of the village, above the houses, his favourite spot to ~~blow shit up~~ practice his fonic artes; finally, to the opposite edge, sword practice against the targets inside the barracks. He's gotten so restless since Luke's disappearance and he needs to stay on the move to avoid going crazy.

Feel free to bother him at any of those locations or even en route; he could use some socializing.]

They'll be stopped soon enough. The trouble will be dealing with the attackers in a place where death doesn't matter.

There's no law here. It's no wonder the villains of the worlds have free reign.

Laws require enforcement, which require more organization. As things stand, people can do whatever the hell they want with little to no repercussion, and the so-called guilds only get involved when they're available. There's plenty of strong people here, but with how disorganized they are, enemies just cause chaos and drive them further apart, and no one group takes responsibility for dealing with it. It's a mess.

Yes, that's only part of the problem. Once we catch the villains, then what? Whether we lock them up or kill them, it would only be a temporary solution. Once they come back, they'll be free to cause chaos again.

We can't just go around killing them, that's pointless. Locking them up is the only solution that would work.

What, you don't execute people for their crimes in your world?

I suppose whatever we do, we'll have to settle for the temporary solutions.

Of course there's executions. But here it would be pointless- they'd be back in a week, just like you said. And unless we kept killing them to the point where they're either powerless or have too many penalties to even function properly, it's a stupid method of dealing with them.

Suit yourself. What brilliant idea would you propose then?

Some sort of prison or dungeon, obviously.

Isn't there one of those in the tunnels? They locked up the Medic for...vivisecting someone, did they not?

As far as I know. The tunnels are the best choice for it- but they're not being used enough, obviously.

Obviously, we should make better use of them. However, I should hope that we're not the only ones who thought of this idea.

If that medic's already been imprisoned, then we're not.

The other problem is how to catch these people. No one really knows how to deal with them or their abilities, save for those who happen to be from the same world. Aku will be the biggest problem. Only holy weapons or magic will harm him, and with his shapeshifting ability, he could escape from any prison easily.
