I'm looking for an experienced weapon-based fighter who's not afraid to risk their life in a spar. I prefer swordsmen, but what I need right now is someone who can attack from a distance, dodge effectively, and defend themselves.

I won't lie and say it isn't dangerous. Don't offer if you're afraid of getting hurt.

[Go go awkward! And since Asch is just itching to get out of the house - awkward home situation is awkward - he'll be spending most of the afternoon/evening in the bar, practicing his drink mixes and trying to get a better feel for bartending. He's feeling just as socially clumsy as ever but a recent confidence boosting has him sort of... cheerful. Well, his version of cheerful, which is more or less just >:| with less > but hey. Baby steps. He's up for bothering and might actually be decently talkative. ....Just don't hold your breath.]

[Asch glances over at him, surprised by the question, since... well. He expected Guy to know already.]

["Well just don't kill anybody" sounds a little insulting so Guy will just occupy himself with his drink and make an "mm hmm" sound in the back of his throat.]

[Hey, you were the one all "I WILL KILL PEOPLE WITH THIS" so it's understandable that Guy is iffy about Asch using it on someone else.]

How are you going to test it in battle then?

I'm going to try using it as a defense method first. That's the safest way to use it.

[Guy watches Asch with a quiet smile, nursing his drink -more to have something to do than because it's strong or anything- before speaking up again.]

...No, I don't. [If something went wrong, and a hyperresonance went off out of his control- if it killed someone, killed Guy-]

Well tough rocks. But I promise to keep my distance. [Guy finishes his drink and pushes his glass across the bar toward Asch, standing up.]

[Uuugh, he should've seen that coming. Asch takes the glass and scowls, dumping it in the sink.]

[Guy gives a little wave as he turns toward the door, hand on the hilt of his katana at his hip.] I'll see you later tonight then, okay?

[Asch glances sidelong at him, then shakes his head.] Probably not until morning. ...I've got something to do. [brb not mentioning the pre-arranged sparring session at 3am.]

[Good thing he doesn't have to, since Guy will be waiting outside the door for when he leaves the bar. Legato business and all.]

[AH GUY YOU'RE A BASTARD. But good for him :|b Asch just waves him off and goes to wash the glass. How's he supposed to focus his hyperresonance with Guy around?]

Anyway he'll be prowling around outside the bar all night, because like hell he's going to leave dear boyfriend alone when there is a crazy person stalking one of his employees who can kill with his mind. Once Asch leaves to lock up he'll find Guy sitting on a bench across the street, watching the bar from a distance.]

[IT'S BEEN KNOWN TO HAPPEN

Asch locks up a little earlier than usual; if he wants to make it to the mountain's edge by 3am, he'll have to hoof it, after all. So focused is he on getting there that he doesn't even notice Guy's presence at first.]

[Cool, then Guy will just wait for Asch to scamper on his way and then follow him. He doesn't make much of an effort to conceal himself though.]

[Since he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head, Asch is quickly aware of his little stalker but not who it is. So after a few moments he whips around, sword unsheathing to point it at... oh. Guy.]
