[He's nervous about talking to either of them, but- shortly after that entry is out of the way, Asch will be leaving his room to look for Guy and, if she says yes, Natalia, too. Unfortunately as soon as he leaves his room, his clothes are suddenly changed to this. Let's see how long it takes for him to notice. |D]

[Just a little silly. He hasn't completely forgotten how to be a gentleman, and she could probably use a little pampering about the bombshell Guy recently dropped on her, so he stands and opens the door for her, stepping aside to let her in.]

This isn't exactly the most appropriate outfit for this conversation, but it will have to do.

[Huhwhat. ...Oh. Yes. Outfit. ...No staring. Asch abruptly turns away, shutting the door behind them.]

[If she won't, then he will, once he seats himself in the chair by the desk. He's not comfortable enough with how they are to sit beside her right now.]

No one blames you for that. [Except that leaves Asch with the uncomfortable consequence of having to deal with it himself.] If you have any questions, I'll answer them however I can.

I suppose I just wonder... how it happened. You two used to seem so distant.

[Well, more or less. Back then it was a different Guy, and then this Guy showed up, and it was all very complicated, but whatever. This is all from his perspective anyway.]

[Poor thing, he hates that she's being so blindsided with all of this. He struggles with this one a little, pausing before he responds; he doesn't really like prancing around announcing how much happier he's been lately, all things considered, and especially with who he's talking to. He can't afford to make things worse for her by saying the wrong thing. Anyway, just outright saying that he's happy isn't exactly his style. Dammit.]

I have a better life now than someone like me should have. I'm content.

[That surprises him- her being glad more than the rest. He wouldn't put it past her to be putting up a brave front for his sake, though; he knew her well enough to know her habits. It wasn't like he didn't do the exact same thing most of the time, though less for the sake of others and more for his own. He's selfish in that sense, he knows.

...Still. Her support is a relief, even if he doesn't know how sincere she is in words.]

I'm sorry I can't keep the promise you made with Luke- not in the same way. But if I can return to Auldrant alive, I'll support you, and Kimlasca. I intend to keep that part of the promise somehow. [It's the only way he knows to make it up to her.]

That... would suit me perfectly fine, Asch. Thank you.

[He blinks, surprised for the second time, and isn't quite able to shake it off like before. Of all the things he had expected to come from this conversation, a smile hadn't been one of them.]

Y... you're welcome. [Bwuuuuh. Now what.] Are you going to be alright? Not just with me, either. [Running off on Guy was understandable, but he didn't want to come between them being friends, either.]

I will be fine, though it may take a little time. You and Guy are still dear friends of mine... and I will not let this ruin that.

[Ah, Natalia. You're too good, you know. He glances awkwardly to the side with a slight nod.]

I am sorry if I have made things difficult for you, Asch.
