dissonates: credit... unsure? (uh-huh whatever you say)

[Voice / Action]

Natalia's gone back.

[And he's... not sure how he even feels about that, especially since it's the second time now. He's not the sort to broadcast his feelings on the matter anyway, so he'll leave it at that.]

[Locked to Dist - 75% Unhackable]

If you've prepared everything you need, it's about time we meet.

[Asch won't be around the house much today; he'll probably be home late. His main haunts today will be the Battle Dome, the library, (maybe a quick bite to eat in the plaza |D) and finally Good Spirits to sulk read a book in a tucked-away corner of the bar. ...Though the amount of reading may decrease depending on what he's drinking over the course of the evening...

Oddly enough, Star the cheagle will be tagging along with him over the course of the day.]

... Okay, okay, I'm going.

[Luke was a little surprised by the sudden cheagle loss, but after he recovers, he starts to walk out-

... And stops, then glances back at Asch.]

I'm just worried about you, okay?

[And now he heads out.]

Really?

Even when you collapse in the middle of a fight?

It doesn't matter if he was. We both know what it is.

You were supposed to tell me when it started again.

Were you going to tell me if the news Dist gave you was bad?

[Hm, that didn't exactly answer his last question of if Asch's fonons flowed into the replica, but ascertaining that information would take questioning the actual replica, which he was not allowed to do...marvelous. Honestly, if he wasn't allowed to ask questions of the replica, how could he get any solid, factual information to work with? It'd be such a daunting, inconvenient task!

With a heavy sigh, Dist cataloged what Asch said to memory, instead going about with the process of drawing his blood once he was seated.]

...Good. If you had, our meeting today would have been for naught. You should be done in just a moment, though I suggest not moving afterward until you feel well enough. A few minutes should do it. [Dist finishes up, cleans the area again, and places a bit of gauze and bandage over it.] You might feel soreness and/or stiffness in your arm a few hours afterward. Bruising of the area is normal as well, and will fade quickly enough.

I'll get this sample tested immediately; stay here and don't move.

If you say so. [...] Are you here to release frustrations, then?
seleniahymn: (I concur my good sir.)

[She does it because she cares.... sort of. And anything involving this poor cheagle is something she wants to know.] And your business happened to involve Star today?

Right you are on that one.

[Good. Guy feels a little better about being kept in the dark now.]

So what would you like me to tell Luke, then?

[Patience is a virtue, Asch. 8|

Thankfully. Dist doesn't take longer than about twenty minutes and he's back looking a bit hopeful. Pleased, even, if only just a little bit. Once back, he looks Asch over to make sure he was awake enough to listen. Satisfied he was, Dist begins to explain his findings.]

I'm pleased to say, Asch, that the rate of your fonons' separation is dramatically slower than I had first anticipated. It's not exact, but I estimate that you'll have quite a few years to live, if you can withstand the constant pain of your dissonance. In light of the aforementioned, I'd like to check up on you routinely, to make absolutely certain that the rate of deterioration does not increase somehow.

I can also try to give you something to numb the constant pain, but don't count too much on that, I'm not a pharmacist.

I know that. I'm asking you what you want me to tell him instead of the truth. I'll lie, but hell if I'll do the work of making it up for you too.

... I'm aware of what he was used for in Auldrant, Asch.
