...What the hell is wrong with the plaza?
[Seriously, what. Giant tree out of nowhere, what. Not that he doesn't have more important things to be dealing with right now. Speaking of which-
...Man. This is going to be crazy-awkward, he just knows it. But hey, it has to be done- you can only dodge someone living in your own house for so long. Thankfully he hasn't had to deal with Luke very much. And Guy has been kind of preoccupied too, actually... strange. Oh well.
Either way, he'll be seeking out said housemate, hoping to talk before he heads off for the day.]
[Locked to Stella]
Can we meet today? [Okay, maybe they've been meeting more often than usual lately, but he can't really help himself...]

[Locked to Stella]
Can we meet today? [Okay, maybe they've been meeting more often than usual lately, but he can't really help himself...]

[Action]
P... proposal!?
[Action]
[Finally, Stella looks up at him with a smile.] Obviously, this means I've had a lot of time to think.
[Action]
[Oh god, he's engaged? Again? This time as an adult, and by choice... and it's with Stella. The woman he really loves.
Shakily he lifts a hand, brushing back her hair, then kisses her forehead, eyes closing.]
You're more than worthy, Stella. I'm the one who isn't...
[Action]
She'd been afraid, at first, that he wouldn't accept. It'd be okay if he didn't; it was a surprise proposal, after all. But his actions and those words serve to relieve her fears, and she lets out a sigh of relief. Thank goodness...
Stella smiles tenderly after that, and she lifts up hand in turn to brush aside a few strands of hair that are clinging his face.]
Silly. If you weren't worthy, I wouldn't have even done this with you.
[Action]
...He has a chance at life, here. And so does she. Who could ever blame them for taking it?
He wraps his arms around her, then, holding her close and burying her face against her hair.]
I don't... have a ring or anything.
[Action]
[Honestly, there's only one other thing that would make this moment even better - if the water glowed. A sign of blessing from the entity so revered in her world... But there's no way Nerifes could travel here just to bless them, so it's all right. It's enough that he's here, and accepting...
Yeah. This turned out so much better than she anticipated.]
[Action]
Maybe... if he added to hers. At least until he could do it right.
With his lips pressed to her hair, he sinks further into the water, just enough to submerge part of his own hair. He then closes his eyes, focusing on the water around them, the heat, their combined warmth, and a quiet hum fades in around them, soft and echoing in the small valley in which the spring resides.
And then he starts to glow with her.]
[Action]
When she looks to the right, her eyes pass over Asch, and- she does a double take.
Asch is glowing. Not just his hair, like hers is doing right now, but his entire body. She's never seen him do anything like this before.]
Asch... [Her voice is quiet, as if she didn't even realize she said his name, and full of wonder. How is he...?]
[Action]
...Ha. And he'd never thought he was romantic.]
[Action]
He had much more power than Stella imagined. Strangely, though, this doesn't frighten her away. The fact that he has such control over that power... rather, that he's trying hard to keep it in check, shows that Stella has nothing to be afraid of.
She lets her arms slide around so that she can keep her hands on his chest, giving her a little more freedom to look around. This is so... It's amazing, and even romantic. And here Stella thought she was the one who'd have to make such gestures in their relationship.]
My... goodness, this is...
[Action]
Is this alright...?
[Action]
She glances around again; the fog, her own hair glowing through it like a lantern... that glow from earlier, from Asch, and knowing that he did all of this just for her...
If Asch wasn't using her head as a pillow, Stella would raise it up to kiss him. But as it stands, she just gives him a gentle squeeze around the waist and, though he can't see it, a happy smile.]
It's perfect.
[Action]
It's called hyperresonance, if you're wondering- changing matter with the power of sound.
[Action]
Changing matter itself... [That's even more powerful than she was thinking. She looks back at him with curiosity.] It sounds dangerous... Is that why you've never used it around me before?
[Action]
[Actually, this... is the first time he's ever used it that hasn't been either for some sort of mission, or just practice. It's a strange feeling.]
[Action]
Stella looks back ahead of her with a thoughtful look, then smiles a little to herself as she keeps swimming forward.] It's amazing that you can turn a power like that into something... like this. Gentle.
[Action]
[Action] 1/2
She reaches out to take the flower in a somewhat subdued fashion, running her fingers along the closed petals once more.]
I'm sorry... That was careless of me, wasn't it? I didn't-
[Action] 2/2
Few things can make Stella absolutely speechless, but this is one of those things.]
2/2
I was hoping it would still bloom, even though it was picked. They only do it at night.

Finally, her expression turns into a little smile, and... she honestly looks kind of touched.]
It's... beautiful, Asch. [Stella leans her weight against his shoulder, unable to take her eyes off of the flower.] It reminds me of a flower back home... Harriet. They'd only bloom at night, and they'd glow just like this, though they were pink instead of white.
... I always wanted to hold one like this. [And for obvious reasons, though maybe not to Asch... She couldn't. She could only watch as they'd bloom and give such a beautiful glow. So, him giving her a flower like this, the selenia, it's...]

Maybe it'll show up here, too- just like the selenia. You should check the flower shop, I wouldn't mind seeing it. [He turns his head slightly to inhale the scent of her hair, though he's trying to be subtle about it.] We could plant them... wherever we decide to live.

Moving somewhere with Asch, just the two of them... It would mean leaving behind the house she's moved into, the place she's very slowly considering a home. Moving away from memories of Shirley, from the only other Ferines in Luceti...
But Stella doesn't have a problem with this. She started out hating that house, after all, and she still had issues with it that would never be solved. Unless she moved with Asch, of course...
The idea honestly makes her a little giddy, and she widens her smiles and lifts her shoulders a bit with excitement.]
Oh, we'd have plenty of time to decide, too; Spring is still relatively far... And by then, I'll surely find the flowers I'm looking for. [Maybe by then, they'd even be... oh, she has to blush.]

Stella... what about Sophie?
[He's not exactly prime dad material, and that's... someone else's kid, not his. Won't it be weird for all of them?]
no subject
And, well... What does she do about her? Even after a few months of Sophie constantly calling her "mom", Stella still can't look at her as anything more than a little sister. It's unfair to the both of them... and to drag Asch into it would be even more unfair.
It's a complicated thing to think about. And this is supposed to be a happy moment, too... After some time of twirling the selenia and staring down at it in deep though, Stella shuts her eyes and lets out a long sigh.]
I'll figure it out later.
