[Because you just suck, Asch. 8D

She is very nearly five feet, thank you very much (t-two inches away...!), and lessens her pace a little once Asch begins to actually follow her. Honestly, Miyabi was expecting him to put up some sort of a fight. This was actually a much better outcome. It's not everyday that she gets to spend time with Asch and not Luke. It was...nice. So long as he didn't try to do something extremely idiotic again.

Eventually, she does let go of Asch's hand, but keeps in step with him.]

All right, for a special occasion, then! But you should try some of my cherry rice cakes sometime...they were Ammy's favorite food.

[Not hers per say, but the food itself.]

He glances down at his hand for a long moment, still a little flummoxed, but before long he turns his attention back to her, still following despite his misgivings.]

I didn't know she had a favourite. She seemed to eat everything in sight, no matter what it was.

[No, stop that. ;A;

Miyabi looks toward Asch for a moment before glancing forward with a wistful smile. It always hurt a little to speak about Amaterasu in any way other than a mock Envoy, but...well, it was another form of keeping her memory around, right? Especially with the people who really knew her.]

W-Well, I know she'd eat anything and everything...but she always seemed to get really excited when I made cherry cakes for her.

...Hm. They must be good, then.

[He's not going to say he wants one, oh no. But he'll concede a little to their potential.

You're always thinking about and planning things, Mr. Asch...

[Ginji still looks doubtful, and his tone is getting careless again. He's talking in circles and his patience (for once in his life) is wearing thin.] But this isn't a very comfortable setting for what you had in mind. Actually, it's one of the worst places you could have chosen.

And there might not even be any way around all these strange happenings. So if you're not acting on a whim, how long have you spent considering it?

[And suddenly Ginji is contemplating the unthinkable, because when has Asch ever backed down about anything?]

[Ginji's logic is, surprisingly, starting to break through a little, which is puzzling to Asch, to say the least. Ginji doesn't argue. Ginji doesn't start fights. Ginji... Ginji pilots. Hell, the only time he can remember Ginji really putting up a fight before is insisting on taking Asch to Eldrant, since he himself couldn't pilot the Albiore.

So why is he so determined to argue now...?]

I... I can't remember! What does it matter, anyway? It's my hair.

[Did...Asch just very subtly compliment her? Miyabi slows a little, then stares at him. He...he did didn't he? She snickers, then giggles quietly into her hand. Asch, you are the cutest brother ever.]

Thank you. [Aaand she stops in front of the bakery. Looks like all their walking and talking got them there faster than she thought!] We're here. ...Are you sure I'm not bothering you?

[Because as much as she wanted to be a distraction, she can't help but feel a little bad.]

You really think I haven't been alone thanks to me being Luke?

[Too late, Luke figures that he shouldn't argue that point. Asch has been much more alone than he has. But Luke destroyed thousands of people, nearly the world. Luke was abandoned by his friends when he needed them the most. Luke was left in the manor and stared at as if he was a monster.

Luke is not a very good name to have.]

Being me isn't as great as you make it out to be. Changing comes from acknowledging who you are and what mistakes you've made, or what you don't like about yourself, and fixing it. Not from stealing someone else's identity.

[Asch shrugs somewhat carelessly, glancing away. At least she knows better than to make a big deal out of it, at least.]

I wouldn't be here if I didn't want to be. You know that.

[He'll leave when he gets bored, yep. ...But as far as company goes, he could do a lot worse than Miyabi.]

That's it, you're getting charged at. LET THE SCISSOR WRESTLE BEGIN.]

[Asch scowls a little, but it's without any real venom or rage; more like a bitter scowl, still pining for what he seriously lacks in his life right now.]

I wouldn't be stealing it! It should be mine anyway, so I'd just- I'd be taking it back! Why can't it be me? Why is it always you?

[There's a sliver of desperation in his voice, a pained tinge he can't quite erase.]

[Action, November 25th-30th...?!]

Luke does manage to move, but he still didn't expect a charge, so he's left standing with one hand on the scissors and one on Asch's hand, trying to pry it off.]

Let go! You don't need this!

[Asch tries to twist Luke's arm in retaliation, eyes narrowing sharply.]

I can't cut my hair without it, dreck!

[Asch is at the clinic right now, thanks to his experiences during the most recent draft. Come and visit him, he is a ~~pathetic~~ sad panda. ...And cranky.]

Asch..!

[Asch is resting in bed, looking thoroughly uncomfortable and bandaged quite a bit, mostly on his head and around his chest. Most of his clothes are folded on the bedside table, and there's noticeable blood on them. He glances over wearily as she enters the room, lifting a hand slightly.]

Natalia, calm down.

[His head is already pounding, please don't shout ;A;]

[It was easiest - best, perhaps - to go right back to work after the draft. People were hurt, Mia wasn't exhausted, it made perfect logical sense.

It let her keep her mind off things. Professionalism and no-nonsense are a great mask for sadness.

She knocks carefully on the door before peeking into Asch's room. After that incident with Norma, she's not going to just assume she was heard. Even if the person in the bed starts talking.]

I don't know! Why do you always think I want any of this?!

[Right then, he is so very close to just giving up and letting Asch have the name. There's pain in his chest and he knows why - it's sympathy and hurt and guilt. It's always been there, ever since he learned he was a replica of Asch, and ever since he realized what he took from him. And it's stronger than ever.

But... not yet, not yet. Not when everyone's acting so strange. Asch could... very well be doing the same thing.]

And look what you're doing to yourself! You took my clothes, and you're even trying to copy the way I cut my hair! You never wanted that before, why do you want it now?! Why now and not two weeks ago?!

[He isn't angry either; it's that desperate tone, that pained tinge, making their voices near identical.]

[Asch glances over as the door cracks open, recognizing the girl he'd met in the mines just a few days ago. He hadn't expected any visitors besides the obvious culprits, so his eyes widen a little.]

What are you doing here?

[Luke winces, but attempts to twist it back to its original place, and to pull at Asch's hand in the process.]

Rrgh - Why do you even want to cut your hair in the first place?!

I work here. [She works in both clinics, actually. It depends on where the people are.] What are you doing here?

[Take note: though she's smiling, that is a sincere question.]

[Like many others, Miya took it upon herself to hurry to see Asch once she found out about his injuries during the previous draft. She was already feeling and looking pale and sickly after the outcome of this one and its effects on her most cherished of people. Even so, she tries to look as chipper as she possibly can when she peers hesitantly into his room. Was he asleep?

Lowering her voice, she asks, gently--]
