[The fonic link is a rather convenient tool, that much is for sure; with it, Asch can tell where Luke is in case he needs to avoid his replica- and, alternatively, whoever he's with. And in this case, it's Guy. Ever since Guy's arrival earlier this month, Asch has been mysteriously absent from the apartment he'd shared with Luke, and tonight, with Luke and Guy both out and about for the evening, he's come to a decision.

He's leaving- for good. Once the apartment is empty, he'll venture there himself, clear out his room, and leave it vacant for them to find later on. Or not find. Maybe they won't notice. Maybe they won't care.

Guy won't. He's fairly certain of that. And that- ...it doesn't bother him. He won't let it bother him.

Tsuae is displeased upon his return, of course, and Star has the nerve to try and set him on fire, but his mind is made up. Within a few hours he's packed up and ready to go. It's actually kind of sad, how few possessions he's managed to acquire over the last few years in Luceti. It'll probably only take a few trips to get it to his new place.

...Once he figures where that new place is.

People can run into him while he's in the process of moving if they so desire, though there are a couple people that, in particular, he needs to be speaking with. The area is mainly community building 2, by the way.]

[Miyabi doesn't need a reason, nor does she need to hear more. She nods with a quiet smile and flicks the cape over the both of them. It's pretty big, and should at least keep both their heads and shoulders dry for the majority of the journey.]

All right, but we have to go now if we do go.

[And, juggling her own supplies in one arm, Miyabi moves closer to Asch before taking a step forward. Better follow in step, Asch.]

[...W-well, alright, if she's that insistent about using her cape, he won't begrudge her the shelter. He can keep up with her just fine ~~longer legs, shorty~~, so it shouldn't be too long before they reach the restaurant. Look, he'll even get the door for her! Isn't he charming. And somewhat drippy at this point.]

[Hey, she's just trying to protect your hair from frizzing, o' fussy one. 8| Regardless, Miyabi thanks Asch politely and bows her head to him as she goes inside the restaurant, equally drippy from the waist down. She flicks out the cape (towards the outside) and folds it quickly to put away elsewhere.]

You can have a seat. I'll let whoever's working that area know.

Mm. [Asch's reply is noncommittal, wandering over to find a table for them. His box is given a place to sit (and dry off a bit) on an extra chair beside him, and he removes the little makeshift tarp from the top; inside, there's just a pile of clothes, as well as a small wooden box.]

[Once Asch is seated, and Miyabi's put away a few of her things in a secure area (she'll pick them up later), she wanders back to the table and sets down a menu for Asch. She more or less has the menu memorized, so his is the only one she's grabbed. After that's done, she sits across from him and tilts her head to one side.]

I won't make you tell me what happened, but I'd at least like to know why you're moving out so suddenly, Asch.

What happened and why I'm moving are the same thing.

[It's a silly distinction to make, really. He's still uncomfortable with the idea of discussing it - especially in a public place - but considering it's Miyabi, she'll probably find out sooner or later.

...Even so, he had to point it out.]

That'd just make it easier to explain then, right?

[She leans back with a sly smile, but turns her head once a waiter arrives to take their orders. Miyabi greets the waiter with a smile and wave, and motions for Asch to go first, if he's ready. For herself? She'll probably just get something simple - a salad or some vegetable soup or something.]

...Tch.

[Asch makes a request for a chicken parmesan- somewhat elaborate for a lunch dish, maybe, but he's just been effectively kicked out of his own home by circumstance and thrown into a less-than-ideal living arrangement as a result. He wants some goddamn comfort food. Once the server leaves, he's quiet for a long, uncomfortable moment before he speaks again.]

...Guy came back. You probably noticed.

[Though he has no idea how well (if at all) Miyabi knew him, Guy's existence in Asch's life before was pretty damn significant, so.]

A...friend of yours?

[That, and her confused look, should answer Asch's question as to how well Miyabi knew the young man when he was here long ago. She blinks, then shakes her head slowly. No, it can't be a friend, if Asch is moving out. An enemy, then? But why would he move out on his own? That's just inviting trouble, and Miyabi's pretty sure Asch wouldn't do MUCH to...protect Luke. Luke can do enough for himself anyway.

Then why?]

Did something bad happen between you and him, Asch?

[...She doesn't know? Really, she doesn't-

...Well it's not like he ever told her.

Lips pursing, he glances away, considering his words carefully. There's no way to explain this without revealing the absolute truth, so... why bother beating around the bush?]

He was my servant. As a kid, I always thought of him as my friend. Someone I could trust and depend on. [Someone I could love.] He's Luke's best friend, too. That's why they're living together now.

[That's why Luke brought him home.]

...My father murdered his entire family.

[And that's why it isn't home anymore.]

[Miyabi listens carefully, and inhales sharply when Asch speaks the last and final sentence. Oh my--...ah. Oh, wow. She puts a hand to her mouth, looking away herself. That's...terrible. And it makes sense now, why Asch left so suddenly. But to be forced out of your own home like that, is it really Asch who should be moving? That didn't seem very fair at all, regardless of the...uhm, c-circumstances. Did Luke even know about that?]

I'm...I'm sorry. [Haha, what else could she even say?] I-I know it's not much, but if you ever need anything at all, I'll be more than willing to help you, Asch. I...I don't think it's right, that you had to leave, but wherever you stay now, I'd like to at least be able to be there when you need me. ...If that's all right.

[Heh, and she didn't even get the worst of it. She's better off not knowing, though, so he merely leans back in his seat, glancing out the window to watch the rain fall. There's always been something vaguely soothing about it.

Right now, though, it's just irritating. And it isn't right that he had to leave, either. But Luke had made that decision, and he's... probably better off for it. They both are. They'll be happier with each other, without him. They've both probably already smiled more often than they ever could with him around.

He really isn't meant to have a home. A family. Not like that.]

You shouldn't try to visit me. It could be dangerous, if someone sees you.

[Cryptic as it is, he doesn't really know how to explain that warning. But he just can't leave it at that, he knows.]

...I'll still be around.

[Whereas Asch watches the rain, Miyabi eyes Asch with concern. He looks so...lost. It's painful to look at, and she barely registers when the server comes back with their meals, sensing the mood and quietly setting down the food and leaving. Miyabi doesn't eat right away, digesting much of what Asch said first.

Dangerous? It'd be dangerous if she visited? Why? Where was Asch even going, to warrant that kind of response? Would he be safe? All kinds of thoughts and worries buzz angrily in her mind, and Miyabi knits her eyebrows together, sighing and leaning her cheek into one hand.]

...All right, but if it's dangerous, then I want you to be careful, too, okay? That's all I'm asking right now.

I'll be careful.

[It's an easy response, since it had been his plan all along. No more picking fights, no more antagonizing Van. This is espionage. He won't get anywhere or gather any information by causing trouble.

And at least he's going where he's welcome.]

[Miyabi lets out a quiet sigh of relief. It's not like she wasn't expecting Asch to say he'd be careful - he's not stupid - but he actually sounded sincere this time around, and honest. She can breathe easier a little bit. And finally start on her food, too, maybe. Miyabi's appetite isn't as great as it was earlier now.]

Good... So long as you stay safe, Asch, I'm glad. But, if I can't see you, just know you can visit or talk to me any time, if you need it, okay?

[She smiles. If there wasn't a table between them, she may have even hugged Asch, too, but alas.]

Don't tell me you're going to want to usurp a day of my week, too.

[Maybe he should just set aside a single day for this kind of thing. An official "Stop People From Worrying" Day. Get it all done at once.

...Is that getting too nitpicky? He's still not sure what the hell to do with this whole having-friends business.]

[And, finally, Miyabi starts to laugh. That...actually doesn't sound half bad. If she can get to see that Asch is safe, sound, and some semblance of happy, she'll at least rest better at night.]

If that's what it takes.

...Hmph.

[And now she's laughing at him... how unpromising. Then again, with how difficult it is to wrestle him out to any kind of socializing, maybe some kind of schedule might actually get him to try. Who knows.

Idly he pokes at his food, toying with a hunk of chicken before he takes a bite. ...Well at least the food is as good as ever.]

Not making any promises. ...The cherry blossom grove is a decent spot to sketch, though.
