[There's a series of slow, shuffling footsteps, then a sudden thud, and a curse. A long silence, then another thud, louder this time, as if something much larger had fallen. It's followed by a hushed curse.]
Sh... shit... I need...
......
[ooc: by some miracle Asch got away from Seraphiel, but he's in pretty bad shape and collapsed at the edge of the mountains. \o His rescue is pre-arranged but feel free to harrass him.]

... I know. I-- ..... I miss her, too.
[Knowing what Guy's not saying, he adds.]
I can't go home yet. Maybe if I live, I...
[Action]
Things he should have been told.]
Asch, I...it's selfish and childish of me. [Guy pauses, and settles his hands in his lap instead, threading the fingers through one another.]
I always thought...even after your kidnapping, after everyone thought you'd lost your memories...even after we found out the truth. After we learned about everything, even after that...I thought... "He has no idea what it's like." I thought that about a lot of people, that they couldn't understand. But I guess nobody ever could, if I kept it to myself.
[Guy laughs a bit, the sound quiet and ashamed.] I was such a child. I still am, really...but I'd like to think I've had some time to grow up. For a while, I wanted to ask you to forgive me; a year after Eldrant fell, actually. I wanted to ask you to forgive me, and I wanted to see Luke again.
Now, though...I don't think that's what I need at all.
[Action]
Like they'd been strangers before, and were only now getting to know one another.]
...Do you know what you need, then?
[He's almost afraid of the answer, but he's anxious to know, too.]
[Action]
I think I'd just need to see you give your mother a hug, actually.
[Action]
Why? My relationship with my mother doesn't have anything to do with you.
[Just what was Guy talking about?]
[Action]
But...I don't know. I just know that it would be nice to see. [Guy doesn't offer much more of an explanation than that, and instead decides to study Asch's face closely.]
[Action]
[Asch feels the blood rushing to his face, and lifts a hand to cover his mouth, coughing lightly into it. A terrible attempt at concealing it, yes, but he can hardly admit to his blushing.]
W... we'll see, I guess. She'll probably hug me the second she sees me anyway.
[Action]
That's the spirit!
[Action]
It would surprise everyone.
[Action]
...take a rest, Asch. I'll go find Luke, he'll want to see you; he's worried sick about you, too.
[Action]
... Okay. I'll rest until then.
[Action]
...he's going, isn't he?
[Asch's ghost closes his eyes and shrugs his shoulders.]
He has been for some time now. It's nothing new.
[Guy isn't sure what to make of that...but he does know it makes him feel worse.]
