A festival? Are you all idiots? I have better things to do with my time.

Jeez, way into insult your family.

[identity profile] matchbreaking.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really. I know you're a redheaded human from Auldrant who goes by a supposedly symbolic name, Asch, which wasn't your choice. I also know that you have a real name which apparently someone else took and that you don't use your family name anymore and it must just break your mother's heart. You have nice green eyes and you're quite the spirited young man, despite the fact that you're horrendously rude to your elders.

So see, I do know some things.

Well it's probably somewhere between you reminding me of my grandson -- you'd look right handsome if you grew a beard, by the way -- and that I'm bored.

[identity profile] matchbreaking.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh, oh right! Well I watch what I take it, does wonders for the skin! But yeah, how older're you?

Oh come on~ You'd look smashing.

[identity profile] matchbreaking.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Christ boy, and you say I don't like my age?! My grandson's twenty-two and you two look pretty similar in age. He does wanna grow a beard either. I guess gals these days don't like facial hair... What a shame.

[identity profile] matchbreaking.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh not at all~ makes you look rather dashing. Definitely could use a beard though.

And here I was trying to use some of that new-fangled lingo all the kids like these days... Your father, rather.

[identity profile] matchbreaking.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, so you're a noble's son! Even better.

[identity profile] matchbreaking.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Because back where I'm from there hasn't been any proper nobles in a long, long time. I think that's why manners died out.

...Some of them did. [This is said so quietly that it might be hard to hear]

Nah, the people tried to replace them with this whole 'equality' idea. Most nations now practice some government called a 'democracy' or something like that now. Based on the Greeks way back whenever.

They don't even use those titles anymore; for the most part they consider them 'archaic.' Most of the governing types these days are elected and whatever monarchies remain in various human nations are mostly just for show.

Christ, they even consider nations that still have proper nobles and monarchs to be 'backwards.'
