[Have an Asch, curled up in bed, waking up from a nice cozy rest because of something feeling amiss. He's used to having two familiar presences always nearby. Guy isn't around, but he expects that (he's looking for Ciel with Meryl, he'd mentioned it earlier), and has no reason to worry. And ever since his first kidnapping with the Malnosso, Luke has been an ever-existent presence somewhere in his mind, at the back or the fore, depending on the strength of the link at the time. But now-
His eyes widen, and he sits straight up in bed, shoving the covers off and focusing intently for a moment. It's pointless - the connection's been severed.
Luke's gone.]
....dammit... dammit...!
[Time to curl up and try to go back to sleep. Maybe it's some sort of bad dream...]

Asch-
[Action]
I know.
[Action]
...then...then he...?
[Action]
I can't feel him anywhere. I can't call him.
[Action]
...he went back.
[Action]
My head hurts... it's so empty but it's so damned loud...
[Action]
[Action]
Guy...
[Action]
Guy turns, tugging Asch up against him.] Sorry.
[Action]
...I thought I'd be grateful...
[A stupid, pointless statement. He's grasping for familiarity and he knows it.]
[Action]
Luke was going to come back, back in Auldrant. He'd promised. And if they had to go home...Guy would find a way to bring Asch with him. For all of their sakes.]
[Action]
What next? Are they going to lose everything? It is just a matter of time before their little makeshift family is split apart?
Again?]
I don't know what to do.
[Action]
Just how unstable their situation in Luceti was became painfully clear with Luke's disappearance. At any time, they could be sent back. And if Asch was sent back...he'd be dead.]
[Action]
He wants his replica back, too, but he's not about to ask Guy for something he can't deliver.]
[Action]
[Action]
They might bring him back without his memories. Like they did with you.
[Action]
[Action]
...But still...
He bows his head.]
I guess so.
[Action]
[Action]
Grin and bear it. Right.
[How was he supposed to live with this emptiness?]

Okay fine, she taps at the window and gives a familiar "Aroo".]

...Oh. The dog. Ammy. Right...]
...Hold on.
[A distraction is probably good for him right about now, so Asch forces himself out of bed and heads over to open the window. He looks a little worse for wear, but it's not like he's been crying his eyes out. Just... pained, really. And a little lonely.]
What're you doing here?

Besides, Ammy won't judge him. He's allowed to feel conflicted about this... right?]

Silence, while he debates just ignoring it. :|]

Because he doesn't want to be alone right now, guess whose door he's knocking against?]
[Action]
...Mieu...
[Action]
His eyes are big and teary, looking up at Asch.]
Mieu...
[Action]
Still... it's hard to say no to something so pitiful, so he crouches down in front of Mieu and offers out his hand.]
I know, he's gone. ...You... you can sit with me for a while, I guess. If you want.
[Action]
You miss him too, don't you, mieu?
[Action]
...What a weird thing to notice.]
...I do.
[That information will probably make it to Luke eventually, but Asch can't really bring himself to care too much. Luke's gone, and back in Auldrant Asch himself is dead. Who is he hiding from anymore?]
[Action]
Lots of people miss Master then.
Miieu...
[Action]
He's the type of person that others get along with easily.
