[There's a shuffling noise for a moment, and a muttered phrase too faint to decipher. Finally, 'Luke' speaks up, his tone serious and surprisingly calm:]

Residents of Luceti who originally came from Auldrant, and any strong healers with a deep connection to the spirit Nala who are willing to help- please respond to this. It's very important.


[Luke can be found by the river near House 5, hidden in a copse of trees, kneeling in the snow. He's pretty serious business right now.]

[Asch swallows back his pride and lets Guy fuss, huddling under the blankets and shivering. He'd forgotten that this body had spent the better part of the day sitting in snow - his body, it's his body again, wait don't dwell on that - and needs to warm up. He'd rather not get sick on top of everything else.]

[Somewhere along the line, the warming up turns to holding and then hugging, and only a few moments later Guy is clinging to Asch, hiding his face in his hair.]

[He opens his mouth to respond, then quickly shuts it again, wearily lifting his arms to hold Guy back. He knows it's been hard on all of them, but... Guy smiled the whole time.

How the hell does he always manage that? He can't even imagine...

Asch knows he isn't any good at comforting people, so he hopes that holding Guy will be enough. There isn't really anything he can say to make things alright again.]

[It doesn't take Guy long to notice the weakness in Asch's arms, and after only a brief moment of indulgence he pulls back and holds Asch's face, smiling.] You need to rest, Asch.

[Asch is reluctant to let go, but he doesn't have the strength to keep clinging. His eyelids are already half-closed, and it's hard to keep them open. Finally he nods, letting them slip shut.]

Don't... [He pauses, swallowing, then tries again.] Don't go far.

Wouldn't dream of it. [Guy gently lowers Asch back onto the bed and pulls the covers up. He leans down to kiss his forehead, too.] I'll be right back. Try to sleep, okay?

[Asch manages a vague, mumbling response, and then he's out like a light. See you in a few days, Guy. :|b]
