[It's been a few days since Asch and Luke were split, and someone's finally recovered enough to wake up. There's a lot on his mind, but the first and foremost issue he takes care of, upon finding his journal by the nightstand, is:]

...I need something to eat.

[After which he starts flipping through the journal to see what he's missed, since he'll be damned if he's going to fall out of bed and crawl to the kitchen for it.]

Guy brought me something, and Stella already offered, so I'm fine. [He does feel marginally bad about rejecting the offer, but his stomach can only take so much food and he doesn't exactly lie for the benefit of others.]

Oh. [Disappointment, but he will soldier on!] How are you feeling, anyway? Did separating like that hurt at all?

[Go go Emil! Also don't expect an honest answer for that one.] I'm fine, just tired. I lost a lot of energy and fonons to recreate the replica's body.

Good; you should have your strength back in no time. [And with careful steps, Guy starts leading Asch out of his room and down the hallway.]

Faster than last time we had to do this, at least. [Attempted joke #1! A little morbid, perhaps, but he's out of practice. Lusch had a much easier time with this.]

Yes. According to legend, they are also reborn from their ashes. [She offers a meek smile.] And one of my gods is also thought of as a phoenix. Uhm...y-your name reminds me of both.

The replica's body... that's right, what about Luke? Is he okay too?

As far as I know, he's fine. [Actually, he should probably ask Guy about that. The fonic link's been kind of wonky since they split apart.]

They're an essential part of the process, Asch, you can't really skip that.

It's a little pathetic, but I'm not even surprised.

[Miyabi frowns. That is not the kind of talk she likes to hear, mister. His title makes her pause a moment, but it doesn't deter her for long.]

I never said you were. Merely that your name reminds me of one. Though that doesn't mean you should not live as if you could not be.

Them's the breaks. [Guy pauses to coaxed the bathroom door open before helping Asch shuffle in.]

No sympathy as usual. [Well, at least he's getting a bath out of all this harassment. :| Plus he really has missed Guy's teasing. Playful as he had felt while joined with the replica, the awkwardness had kind of ruined things most of the time. He sits himself down on the closest seat and starts to wrestle out of his shirt.]

[Guy sits on the edge of the tub, letting Asch fumble his way to nakedness on his own in favor of filling the bath.]

[You'll be lucky if he doesn't dunk you again or something :| It doesn't take him too long, thankfully, and once that bit's over and done with, he swings his legs over to rest his feet in the water while he watches it fill up.]

...What would you have done, if we'd stayed like that?

[Then he needs to be prepared for her to smack him over the head a few times, if and when they ever meet in person. Miyabi blinks and mulls over how she could explain. She taps her brush on her chin.]

I mean...hm. I mean that you shouldn't be dumb and think little of your life. You're here now, aren't you? Living. So go on living that life and worry about death and rebirth when the time comes.

[Because the vengeful bitchslap of a gnat is totally dangerous.

Also he's trying to keep his temper in check because she is treading in dangerous waters herself. :|]

[There's an audible sigh over the journals.]

I'm glad. But that means he...

[Don't make her paint on your face instead. 8| And as for his temper, she just huffs a little at his words, but decides not to pursue it. She was trying to make amends, and arguing would be rather counterproductive.]

If that's what you wish to believe. Do you still need anything, then? I can make you some tea to help you relax your body. [Because everyone and their dog knows you need to relax a little, Asch.]
