I need to speak with one of the Malnosso.

[Today, Asch is all over the place. First to the plaza, to check the item bazaar for a few things; next, to the north edge of the village, above the houses, his favourite spot to ~~blow shit up~~ practice his fonic artes; finally, to the opposite edge, sword practice against the targets inside the barracks. He's gotten so restless since Luke's disappearance and he needs to stay on the move to avoid going crazy.

Feel free to bother him at any of those locations or even en route; he could use some socializing.]

[If Emil's that close to the tree, he'll probably hear (and/or feel, w/e) some explosions going off in the forest not too far away. Hope you didn't want to get some peaceful thinking time, kiddo.]

[Explosions are definitely enough to get him to go see what's going on. Are they under attack? Is Aku setting stores on fire again?

... oh, it's just Asch using fonic artes. He's... not sure if that's much better, now that he knows about Luke being gone.]

[Are you comparing Asch to Aku, Emil :| Actually, a few weeks ago that might have been halfway accurate, since he's been in a foul mood for a while now. But he's back home out of the cold and made up with Guy, so right now he's just focused on self-improvement and getting the hell over it these days.

After letting loose another Explosion and tearing a small crater in the terrain, Asch turns to take a break and spots Emil. ...'Sup, awkward derpy buddy?]

[MAYBE A LITTLE. Although Asch is actually grumpier than Aku, who seems oddly cheerful for a... whatever he is. Emil can tell that Asch is not in the best of moods even from this far away; he's kind of radiating grump.

'Sup awkward grouchy buddy who just made a big hole in the ground there?]

[In that case, Emil may be surprised when said grouchy buddy heads over in his direction, winding down from the tense posture he'd been using while casting his artes.]

[He's not sure, really. He's not sure what he's doing, or even what he's thinking-- he's still just trying to process the fact that two of his best friends are gone.]

[....Ugh, Emil, you can be so frustrating sometimes 8| Asch resists the urge to gripe about his obvious emoing, instead brushing past him and gesturing as he does so.]

[Emil blinks at this and half-turns to face Asch, as if torn between whether or not to follow him.]

[Asch doesn't look back to see if he's following or not.]

It looks like it's going to rain, so I'm going back inside. But if you want to sit around and mope in the mud, go ahead.

[Well, he IS thirsty, so stopping in for a cup of tea or something couldn't hurt, right? He'll just be following Asch like an obedient puppy now.]

[Good puppy. This could be an awkward-silence kind of meeting for a while, since Asch suspects why Emil's so unhappy, and he's not sure he wants to talk about Luke yet. Onward to house 5!]

[Emil has no objections to awkward silence-- he's not like he's feeling very talkative right now anyway, and the last thing he wants is to say something that will set Asch off. So onwards in silence it is!]

[Asch leads the way to the house and lets Emil inside, glancing around as he heads for the kitchen for any sign of Guy. Seeing no one - either he's out and about or in his room - Asch just gets right to the process of making tea, gesturing vaguely for Emil to make himself at home. Or, in Aschspeak, "sit your ass down and drink your goddamn tea", more likely.]

[To Emil, "making himself at home" means "sitting down and not touching anything unless he's told he can." He'll just take a seat at the table and wait to be told what to do or asked to help-- he feels like he should be helping somehow even though he's a guest. Call it reflex, instinct, whatever.]

[Emil, you're a dummy. >:/

Well, whatever. Eventually Asch finishes the tea, stepping back to the table and sliding a mug towards Emil while he sips his own. He remains on his feet, waiting quietly.]

[A nod of gratitude is all the thanks you're going to get out of him right now, sorry Asch. The mug is nice and warm and Emil cups it in his hands to warm them up a bit, staring intently at the liquid inside and feeling more awkward than he has in a while.]
