dissonates | [Action / Accidental Voice]

[After getting violently ejected from his own house, Asch has set up temporary shop in Good Spirits until he figures out where to go (and whether or not to try and evict Guy and get his house back). Since Guy apparently hit his head and can't even remember working there, Asch is hoping that the bar will be the last place he'll have to worry about running into Guy again. And it's not like dealing with the shop is particularly hard; all you have to do is pour drinks and listen to people's griping, and what good is a replica if he can't do that in Asch's place? ...The listening part, anyway. Floating glasses of alcohol might give people the wrong idea.

So in short, Asch will be doing two things today: shopping and carrying groceries back to the bar to stock up, or hanging out in the bar and trying not to attempt to murder his invisible companion. Stupid drecks and their attempts at impressing him. He's not really used to being around a lot of people, so he easily forgets that he's the only one who can see Luke. Thus:]

I already told you to keep your feet on the ground. You could at least pretend to be normal.

[....]

Shut up! Stop doing that, I don't need help.

[....]

Just be quiet already!!

[...Yeah he's a little crazy in public this week.]

[Dist just ignores the glare, pushing up her glasses with a triumphant smirk.] I'm still waiting for a nice glass of wine. Indulge me and I may find your request suitable. How are you feeling?

He started to. I didn't want to pry at the time.

What? He was sent home a few months ago, right before the New Feathers stopped arriving. Don't tell me you just forgot something like that.

[Totally ignoring Luke now.]

[As if Asch's brain hasn't been broken enough, Anise - very noticeably of-age!Anise - will be going right in and seating herself on a bar stool. She's not here to get smashed, so she can wait til you get to her. \o\]

[What do you mean, he's definitely...

... Wait. He can't recall ever turning human here, even when it would've been much easier to do so. Now, this makes him tilt his head and look genuinely lost. He... really doesn't know.]

Hm. [Normally Asch would keep quiet, but Guy's already made him angry and thrown him out, and he doesn't feel like being fair about anything. He tries to stay as neutral as possible about it; it's still something of a sore spot.]

My father killed his family. Killing me is part of his big revenge plan.

I didn't forget. Look, it's... complicated. [In other words, he doesn't understand it either.]

[Oh geez. If even the damn dog is confused, they're really doomed.]

...Nevermind. The whole village is already screwed up.

[D-Damn dog D8 ... But he's right about that. Tai hangs his head with a loud, exasperated sigh. This really is confusing...]

None of your business. And you don't get a drop of anything until you show some respect. [Welcome to Asch's Impasse Bar! Since he's hardly in good spirits with Dist around.]

[BUT OH WELL we'll figure that all out later! Right now he's excited to see Luke again, even if he is kind of a ghost! So he'll pick his head right back up and raise his front paws at the spirit briefly as he wags his tail. Fluffy~ ♥]

Can you teach me some?

[Asch pauses in his feud with Luke as they both notice Anise walking in, and just. Sort of stare at her for a long moment. ...Huh.

And then Luke comments on it and Asch smacks him - the air - and turns to face her, lifting a brow. What do you want?]

[And Luke just goes right back to petting and fluffing her fur, more than happy to do so. Asch will just be glowering at them behind the counter.]

[Anise is looking around the bar a little bit, before turning to Asch completely.]

Guy's still acting weird, huh? Geez, he's the only one who mixes my drinks right.

...I guess. [Not like he has anything better to do, and hopefully this'll distract her from trying to get him to talk or something.]

[Asch grits his teeth at the mention of Guy, reaching back and grabbing the broom he'd been using to sweep glass from the floor. Seems Anise caught him at a bad time.]

I don't want to talk about him.

[Well, she's given up now that her head's a little light, but she's still sober enough to move around from her seat to behind the bar, as if she owned the place.] Great!

[Oh. Well, she was talking to him like, that morning and he was in a weird mood, so she understands.]

Whatever. [shrug.] So are you affected by this experiment thing going on too, or what?

[Asch shrugs, shooing Luke out of the way again as he sweeps the glass off to the side so it won't be stepped in.]

How is anyone supposed to know if they are or not? Everyone I talk to remembers things differently.

[...Joy. Nothing like an enthusiastic student. Now what can he teach her...]

...I can show you the Auldrant drinks. [He starts getting together some ingredients.]

Auldrant?

Right, right... [props her elbows up on the counter and rests her chin in her hands.] Sooo I'm guessing you remember me as a tiny kid, too?

[And also raising an eyebrow at that shooing thing. But she figures it best not to ask yet.]

[Asch nods, setting aside the broom and fishing around for a screwdriver to remove the broken door.] You're supposed to be ten or something. [He never paid much attention to her unless he had to.]
