[After getting violently ejected from his own house, Asch has set up temporary shop in Good Spirits until he figures out where to go (and whether or not to try and evict Guy and get his house back). Since Guy apparently hit his head and can't even remember working there, Asch is hoping that the bar will be the last place he'll have to worry about running into Guy again. And it's not like dealing with the shop is particularly hard; all you have to do is pour drinks and listen to people's griping, and what good is a replica if he can't do that in Asch's place? ...The listening part, anyway. Floating glasses of alcohol might give people the wrong idea.

So in short, Asch will be doing two things today: shopping and carrying groceries back to the bar to stock up, or hanging out in the bar and trying not to attempt to murder his invisible companion. Stupid drecks and their attempts at impressing him. He's not really used to being around a lot of people, so he easily forgets that he's the only one who can see Luke. Thus:]

I already told you to keep your feet on the ground. You could at least pretend to be normal.

[....]

Shut up! Stop doing that, I don't need help.

[....]

Just be quiet already!!

[...Yeah he's a little crazy in public this week.]

[Asch reddens immediately, lashing out at his hovering poltergeist - or at the empty air, from Buffy's perspective.]

[Buffy gets one of those faces. The one that shows a little bit of disbelief and more than a little indignation.]

Yikes. Cranky, much? [With a familiarity that is still more than a little unfamiliar, Buffy makes her way behind the bar.] Give a girl the chance to screw up before you jump down her throat.

[Nudge nudge, goes the replica- don't be so mean, Asch, you're supposed to be better at dealing with people these days. Which results in him facepalming and just moving out of her way.]

...It hasn't been a good week so far. [He's at least halfway apologetic.]

Are you also dealing with fuzzy memory issues? [Tentatively, Buffy wonders if perhaps this is another apparent friend--another one she just can't remember.]

I think so. [He's definitely remember things being different as far as other people are concerned.] I don't... usually work here. [....] Isn't Guy supposed to run this place?

That's...the blond one, right? Pretty lunchable, hard to pronounce name. [She taps her nails on the bar top.] I definitely got a more than just friends vibe, from him. Maybe he's my...boss?

[Buffy is desperately trying to piece together the who's who and what's what of this place. It's difficult with only vague notions of trust and affection.] Because I work here. I definitely work here. That much, I know.

[Then, like it has suddenly occurred to her to also be polite:] Oh! And I'm Buffy. [She holds out a hand.]

[dissonates]

[...Yeah, okay, he'll shake. As briefly as possible. Shut up, replica. He's just going to glare over her shoulder for a moment.]

That's Guy. I don't know what the hell his problem is right now.

Guy. [Hmm. She worries her bottom lip.] That sounds more familiar than the...other name. Is he having some memory issues, too?

[dissonates]

Other name? [Asch thinks back briefly.] "Gailardia"? He never uses that name. There's probably an experiment going on.

Well, he used it this time.

[She frowns.] All this confusion, you think it could just be another...thing. [Ugh. Memory, don't fail her now.] An experiment?

An experiment. [Yep, sounds about right.] There's been something wrong with everyone I've met so far.
