[After getting violently ejected from his own house, Asch has set up temporary shop in Good Spirits until he figures out where to go (and whether or not to try and evict Guy and get his house back). Since Guy apparently hit his head and can't even remember working there, Asch is hoping that the bar will be the last place he'll have to worry about running into Guy again. And it's not like dealing with the shop is particularly hard; all you have to do is pour drinks and listen to people's griping, and what good is a replica if he can't do that in Asch's place? ...The listening part, anyway. Floating glasses of alcohol might give people the wrong idea.

So in short, Asch will be doing two things today: shopping and carrying groceries back to the bar to stock up, or hanging out in the bar and trying not to attempt to murder his invisible companion. Stupid drecks and their attempts at impressing him. He's not really used to being around a lot of people, so he easily forgets that he's the only one who can see Luke. Thus:]

I already told you to keep your feet on the ground. You could at least pretend to be normal.

Shut up! Stop doing that, I don't need help.

[...Yeah he's a little crazy in public this week.]

[Asch glances over at her - briefly trying to gauge her age - and then dismisses it, obviously not caring. He mixes up a second mug and slides it over.]

[Score! Ted grins at him, then takes a tentative drink...

Only to pull away in surprise, wrinkling her nose.] You have odd tastes.

And you have no taste, if you don't even like that. It's about as mild as alcohol can get.

[This version has never had any! Well, except now. Congrats.] I think I'll stick to the first drink. It was nicer.

[Asch shrugs; he really doesn't give a damn what she drinks. What a waste, though. 8|] Your call.

[Yet she's still drinking it.] Feeling better?

Can I take that as a good maybe? [Okay, maybe it was a little addicting.]

Why does it even matter?

Because you might feel better if you smile more. It's a good first step.

Smiling doesn't change your situation.

It might change your view of the situation.

...Not everyone can just smile on demand, you know.

Well... What does it take to make you smile?

A hell of a lot more than this. [Even he isn't sure of the answer. It just sort of happens.]

That may be the start of the alcohol's effect. Maybe.] Well, I guess it's not too bad. A forced smile looks bad anyway.

Why not? Being gloomy just attracts worse things.

What? [What could be worse than being false for the sake of pleasing others?]

I mean, you don't have to be really happy or anything! Just think a little more positively of the situation. If you think of it as bad, then you get grumpy, and then you start emitting grumpy vibes. Can I have another drink? [She smiles brightly at that, clearly nothing wrong with adding that last part.]

[She's probably drinking to much, babbling like that.

Well, he's not her mother. He pours another drink and passes it over.]

I can't think of a reason to see this situation as positive.
