[There isn't much less pleasant than waking up cold and alone, is there? Which is exactly how Asch finds himself this morning- on his own in a tent behind the battle dome, no longer an adult but rather regressed to the tender age of about 11. In his haste to get up and figure out what's going on, he knocks over the journal, and it catches his alarmed call as he opens the tent flap to find a lot of snow and not much else.]

...Master Van...?

[This isn't the cozy, temperate region of Daath, which is puzzling, because he knows he'd been in Daath the night before. Where, then...?]

Master Van!

[Had he been abandoned? No... Van had said he needed him! There must be a reason for this.

Not noticing the journal, Asch tucks the blanket around himself and starts shuffling out through the snow, wandering into the village in search of something - anything - familiar.]

[It's been days, now, since Miyabi was transformed into her new body. The body of a wolf. She'd gotten used to the four-legged thing, but now she wanted to see how well she could do battle-wise. Her sword could be manipulated with her mind, and her Brush was her tail...it'd be hard to get used to. Plus, she wanted to check out this battledome thingy.

So, as she pawed up to it, she flicked her ears, catching an odd scent and sight. Curious, she walked over to the tent and saw a bundle of red hair escaping, wrapped in a blanket. ...Luke? But--no. She knew she took you home.]

Wuuu?

[moving closer, slowly. She's got an inkling this may be who she mistook Luke for.]

[As soon as Asch hears the animal, he immediately jerks back, hands reaching in futility for a weapon he wasn't carrying. How could he have been dumped out here in the wild with no way to defend himself? Maybe he could run away, but how could he possibly outrun a wolf? What to do, what to do...]

Stay back...!

[Ugh. She honestly isn't used to people being so scared of her like this. Miyabi whines and folds her ears back, but stays a few feet away, even gowning so far as to lay down. Her tail wags behind her and she rolls over onto her back - mindful of her wings - and shows off her tummy.

It worked for Luke, so... She even wags her tail a little, too.]

[Asch watches her suspiciously, keeping his distance despite her inviting display. She certainly wasn't acting like any wild animals he knew. What should he do, then...?]

[You should...pet her belly. :|b Miyabi peeks at him from between her paws and makes a quiet sound, wagging her tail. After a while of rolling on her back, her wings finally begin to protest and she rights herself, pawing at the air.

[...Wait, so she's a tame wolf? Did those even exist? :|;; Asch hesitates, then takes a step forward. Then another. Maybe... maybe it's okay.

He's never really been around pets before, wtf is he supposed to do?]

[Asch, you are so fail. Luke pet her fucking belly after just a second. 8| ...Even if he's really only mentally a toddler, but whatever! Miyabi stays right where she was, her tail wagging, and leaned her head towards him a little, lifting her head for a pat if he would grace her with one.

See? Not scary at all. Can she take you home, too? It won't be as easy as with Luke, she can already tell, but she won't leave you out here, either.]

[Luke is a retarded little replica who doesn't understand that wolves are bad and dangerous okay 8| Asch has good reason to be worried, he had a pack of them try to kill him not that long ago.

Still, her friendliness is winning over against his caution, so after a long moment he hesitantly starts to reach out, watching her movements carefully. You're not going to bite him, right?]

[People everywhere in Nippon have long, deep conversations with wolves, okay 8| To her, it's a bit weird people are so fearful, though she does kind of understand.

Asch hand reaching out definitely will not be bitten. She leans her head right into his palm, making a pleased noise - kind of like a whine, just lighter and much happier.]

[Okay, this is... weird, but it's kind of nice, too. Her fur is warm and fluffy, so after just resting his hand there for a long moment, he slowly begins to stroke her fur, getting a feel for what it's like to pet an animal.]

...You're really strange. [Who ever heard of a tame wolf?]

[Miyabi swishes her tail and leans forward to nuzzle his cheek with her nose gently, and give it a soft lick. |D D'aww, tiny!Asch. You're just as cute as your replica counterpart. ♥ But she can't tel you stay out here by yourself, not in this weather.

Giving a huff to the 'strange' part, the wolf nudges Asch's shoulder and directs his attention to the tip of her tail. Hopefully he can read, because she's going to write.]

You're a bit weird yourself, you know. Are you lost?

[Asch can definitely read, which is why he starts to stare at the snow, jaw dropping.]

You can write!? [Wait, IT USED ITS TAIL TO DO THAT!?]

[Miyabi snickers as best a wolf can, which is more like a gruff kind of grunting than a snicker. She is going to tease you relentlessly once this is over with, you realize.]

I can talk, too, but that's no fun. [And she doesn't want to.]

[That... is weird. Really, really weird. He doesn't even know how he's supposed to react to this. DOES A TALKING WOLF COUNT AS A STRANGER, SHOULD HE BE WARY OF THIS.]

U-um...

[The wolf snickers again, and nuzzles against Asch's cheek with her nose, giving it a little lick. No need to be wary of her, e-even if she does a sword.]

You must be cold. Let me take you home, okay? [No, she does not live in a cave. :|]

[...Another wary look.]

You're not gonna take me to your den and try and feed me to your kids, are you? [Monsters can be tricky 8|]

[THIS LOOK, ASCH. She can't even grace that with writing, so she speaks instead, because honestly.]

...I don't eat meat.

...But you're a wolf. All wolves eat meat.

I'm not an ordinary wolf. [She grins, then gives his cheek a little nuzzle with her nose.] You're going to catch a cold out here you know. I know a place where you can stay, and nice people will take care of you.

[Asch is a bit suspicious again, but less so than before. More or less.] Where?

Where your friends are. [She's honestly just...assuming Luke and Guy are his friends. Asch lives with them, right? So clearly they must be friends. 8|b]

...I don't have any friends here. [Or anywhere, boo hoo emo cutter sadface.]

[Miyabi huffs and bumps him in the back a bit harder with her head. Not enough to knock him over or anything, but to get the message across. Don't you start moping, kiddo. After that, the wolf wags her tail and licks at his ears, standing up onto her legs...yeah, this time she intends to knock him over and bathe his face and ears in her tongue.

You have a friend right here, Asch.]

[hjdkhfjsdhfks UNEXPECTED POUNCE. Asch doesn't exactly respond favourably; expecting his face to get bitten off even after all her reassurances, he cries out in alarm, hands lifting to try and protect himself. When he feels a tongue instead of teeth, he blinks, too baffled to be annoyed.]

What are you doing...?

[Miyabi doesn't exactly stop playing, but she does slow down to light nuzzles and licks when she sees just how scared the poor kid got. Uh, oops? She didn't expect the poor kid to be so jumpy, but she is a wolf, so...eh.

She gives him and apologetic bump to his head, her eyes scrunching up as she smiles happily and wags her tail.]

Playing, but if you're scared, I can just take you to Guy's house. You shouldn't stay out here anyway. [She presses her nose to one of his arms.] You're already cold.
