No. Well...I didn't know everything he had planned. I think he'd have let me live, though...either that, or I'd have killed him and lived.

I wasn't completely his, just yet. Van had a lot of loyalty for me and my family...but he wasn't stupid.

Probably for good reason. No one was supposed to survive post-replication.

Destroying the Score was his ultimate goal - and every memory that it even existed. There was no room for anyone but replicas. Van, his God-Generals, all the originals - we were supposed to die.

...Well, now I know why he never told me everything.

So Asch, you...knew about this? And you were still going to help him...?

He didn't tell me - I had to find out most of it on my own. I used to hate replicas, remember? Not that I'd actually want to live in a world of them, either...

When did you start investigating?

Just before Choral Castle. It's part of why I opened the replica's fon slots. I thought I could use an extra spy, since I didn't know who I could trust.

No harder than things usually are.

There was a lack of trust on both sides. We all made mistakes, in that regard. But that's how it usually goes, isn't it? "If I'd known," on and on. Part of the reason why the Score was so popular in the first place.

I guess so. Though some Scores were better off unknown.

Maybe. I'd have like to have known a few of them before they happened, myself.

Sometimes I wish mine had happened.
