[After what Luke had said -true as it was- Guy was just not in the mood to see anyone. But he'd asked Asch to come home, and he wasn't about to ignore him again after doing that. So he musters a smile and sends it Asch's way.]

Hey. Are you hungry? I can make something for you.

[... Okay, not exactly the greeting he'd expected after Guy had asked him to return.]

...Not really. Guy, what happened?

[So Guy was planning on saying "nothing" but the moment his mouth opens it just pops out. Shakily.]

Luke and I fought. It ended badly.

[Asch hesitates, lips pursing. He hadn't expected that. Luke and Guy didn't exactly make a habit of arguing.]

Why'd you fight...?

He knows about us. And...he's mad. [And Guy had ignored him too, apparently, but there was no need to share that with Asch.]

[Asch fidgets, feet shuffling a little uneasily. He'd had a feeling, but... to hear it said aloud...

He wants to go to Guy, to hold him or comfort him or do something, but he knows he couldn't handle it if Guy pushed him away.]

...Dammit...

[Luke wanted him to leave Asch. Guy didn't need a mindlink to be able to tell that.

He hangs his head, fingers clenching into fists on the countertops.]

That about sums it up.

[Asch swallows hard, almost afraid to meet Guy's eyes.]

So... now what do we do.

[One thing has to be clear, and right away.]

I'm not leaving you.

[Asch's breath catches, trembling a little, a sliver of tension leaving him.]

O... okay. Okay...

[There's a pause before Guy hangs his head, scratching his hair with a nervous laugh.]

...besides that, I have no idea what we should do.

[With Guy's reassurance, Asch feels a little bolder; he edges over to where the blond is standing and slips his hand around Guy's, twining their fingers together and giving it a little squeeze.]

You're not alone there.

[In more ways than one.]

[Luke had run out of the house, probably in tears, and while Guy had to constantly push down the urge to chase after him and drag him somewhere safe, he knew it would only make things harder on the replica.

So instead, he turns to Asch, parted their hands and dragged him into a hug. He needed the comfort.]

[The relief Asch feels in the embrace is obvious from his body language; he relaxes, arms lifting to hold the older man back, resting his forehead against Guy's shoulder, voice faint.]

I'm sorry, Guy...

It's not your fault. [Guy presses his lips to Asch's hair.]

These things happen. We can't control everything.

I didn't expect it to happen so fast. And not like this.

[Asch closes his eyes, indulging himself a little. They both need it now.]

I shouldn't have strengthened the fonic link...

He'd have found out sooner or later...and I don't think he'd have felt any less strongly about it. [Guy turns his head slightly and kisses Asch's temple.]

[Asch's fingers curl in the material of Guy's shirt.]

But it would have been better if we'd told him, wouldn't it?

Maybe. [Guy knows he fucked up.] But we didn't. And it doesn't matter now.

[Asch closes his eyes, leaning against Guy again. It was such a mess.]

I'm not leaving you, either.

[Also a great relief. Guy kisses Asch's temple again, wordlessly. Maybe his arms get a little tighter.]

[Asch doesn't mind; he gives Guy a little nuzzle that he hopes is reassuring, just settling into comfortable silence for a while.]

[Hrm. Um, yes, reassuring was probably one way to describe it. Guy tilts his head a bit more, lips brushing more against Asch's ear than his temple in an equally "reassuring" way.]

[Asch shivers a bit at that, drawing back brush a hand over Guy's cheek, watching him for a moment before leaning in to kiss him properly. Any comfort he can get, he'll take it, and give it if he can.]

[Righto. Guy concurs, and proves this by definitely returning the kiss, maybe with a little "distract me please" slipped in there.]
