Asch is wandering around the village a bit, looking for a good spot to practice some artes without killing anyone, maybe get some thinking done somewhere other than at home. He's not in any particular mood, good or bad, so if you're lucky you'll catch his good side. His journal is open since he's checking a folded map he's got attached to it, so if you're lucky, you might hear him muttering a bit.]

...so the lake's... further west from here. Damned trees turned me around...

[Guy weighs the pros and cons of pressing for information and decides to leave it be, returning to his floating.]

[Probably for the best, anyway, since Asch feels a little foolish now; still, he can't help but swim a little closer, if only so that water-separation belief stops bothering him.]

[That is until Guy gives a kick, unaware of Asch floating closer, and bonks their heads together.]

Ow-!

[fffff flounder.]

That hurt!

[Guy flounders a bit more gracefully, rubbing his head.] I didn't do it on purpose.

[Well, that was embarrassing.] I never said you did.

Let me know when you want to get closer, dork. [Splash.]

[You picked the wrong guppy to mess with, Asch, because this little fishy bites.

Or tackles and dunks people's heads underwater, whatever.]

[Guy can hold his breath longer than Asch can.]

[.....Goddammit that's right. And Asch doesn't want to look like an idiot by drowning himself to prove a point, so he lets go and flounders back to the surface for a breath.]

[Guy does not flounder, he floats back to the surface and doesn't gasp like a drowning man either.]

...I win again.

[You get a bit of grumbling for that. Asch hates losing.]

You have the advantage in the water, that's all.

And you have an advantage on land. [Guy pauses, and decides to test his luck.] But I won there, too.

[Aaaand Asch ducks his head down again, scowling underwater. You're mean, Guy, rubbing it in like that.]

Oh Asch, c'mon- [Guy dives back under and drags Asch over to the dock.] Don't pout, I was just teasing you.

I'm not pouting. I'm trying to rethink my strategies. [Asch gives Guy a little nudge to try and make him let go.] I need to get the Key, hold on a minute.
