[Early in the morning, Asch is by the section of trees close to the river outside House 5, standing in the snow in just his uniform, holding the Key of Lorelei. He seems fixated on whatever it is he's doing, namely holding the Key tip-down into the snow, both hands on the end of the hilt, eyes closed as he focuses. Every few moments you might catch a slight glow around him, little more than a flicker before it fades.

Talk, harass, troll, lurk? He's open for bothering, though he won't like it. |D]

[Asch pauses, lowering his hand and his head, gazing at his lap.]

Doesn't this remind you of anything?

[Yes.] Not really.

[He knows.] Liar.

Well, whether or not it reminds me of anything is irrelevant. It's not the same situation or the same circumstances.

You have no idea what it is.

Then why do you think I'm- [He cuts himself off there. No way can he say that.]

[Guy has a hunch as to what he'd say, but he gives Asch a second to complete his sentence anyway. When it's clear he isn't going to, he responds quietly-] I asked you to go to bed because you looked like you needed rest. That's all.

[He remembers resting a lot before he died, too.]

[Yeah, most people rest a lot before dying, dorkface.] Besides, forcing yourself to hyperresonate when you already know you're having trouble is just asking for a bout of exhaustion.

[...Well, actually-] It wasn't hyperresonance.

It wasn't? Then what was it?

I was trying to channel the spirits together and create one artificially, using the Key of Lorelei.

[Asch can't respond to that. He just knows his answer will probably earn him some sort of scolding lecture.]

[You shouldn't assume things, Asch. D|] Well...regardless, maybe some more information would be useful before you try it again. I'll snoop around for what I can find.

[Isn't that kind of what he does best?] ...You don't have to do that.

Why not? Not like I've got anything better to do.

[Asch can think of plenty of better things Guy could be doing, but for once he's not in the mood to be argumentative, so he shrugs, shifting slightly and sipping at his tea again. Why does he have to be so pre-programmed to refuse help?]
