[It's been a few days since Asch and Luke were split, and someone's finally recovered enough to wake up. There's a lot on his mind, but the first and foremost issue he takes care of, upon finding his journal by the nightstand, is:]

...I need something to eat.

[After which he starts flipping through the journal to see what he's missed, since he'll be damned if he's going to fall out of bed and crawl to the kitchen for it.]

[The disbelief is pretty clear; it's been forever since they talked, and last time... didn't end well.]

Um, I understand if you're still mad at me, but I just wanted to say that I'm glad you're back.

[He hasn't entirely forgiven Emil yet, mostly because he's avoided thinking about it, but he's not as bad about grudges as he used to be.

Plus everyone else is too damn nice to Emil; he needs someone who won't put up with his whiny bullshit as much 8|]

Accepted. [For once Asch doesn't get annoyed for it.] But don't forget what I said.

[There's silence for a moment.]

Um, if you're hungry, I could bring you some leftovers from dinner last night. There's more than enough for a meal there if you like fried chicken.

Guy brought me something, and Stella already offered, so I'm fine. [He does feel marginally bad about rejecting the offer, but his stomach can only take so much food and he doesn't exactly lie for the benefit of others.]

Oh. [Disappointment, but he will soldier on!] How are you feeling, anyway? Did separating like that hurt at all?

[Go go Emil! Also don't expect an honest answer for that one.] I'm fine, just tired. I lost a lot of energy and fonons to recreate the replica's body.

The replica's body... that's right, what about Luke? Is he okay too?

As far as I know, he's fine. [Actually, he should probably ask Guy about that. The fonic link's been kind of wonky since they split apart.]

[There's an audible sigh over the journals.]

Guy just says I should rest, but I've been sleeping for days. I've had enough.

But it could be dangerous if you push yourself too much while you're still tired. You should at least have a doctor or a healer look at you first to make sure you're okay before you try to move around too much.

Not interested. I hate doctors.
