["I think you should sleep in your own room for a while, Asch."
He hasn't forgotten those words- despite Guy saying they're okay, they haven't exactly shared much living space lately. Since being banished from Guy's room, he hasn't spent a lot of time in the house, or speaking to anyone else in particular, really. Self-exile is one of his best talents, after all. And even though he can normally handle being on his own, he can't help but feel bothered by it- after all, it's Guy himself who told him it wasn't healthy, the last time they fought. It's the only thing that's kept him from outright leaving the house.
Eventually, he's had enough, though, so early this morning he heads to Guy's room, knocking briefly as a pointless warning before opening the door and peering in, calling out as he does so.]
Guy? We need to-

[Satisfied that there are no remains of the stupid fonbot left, Asch grabs a sheet and starts batting at the little flames trying to spread. Maybe Stalagmite would have been better.]
Do you have any idea how creepy that was? One replica in the house is enough.
no subject
... Is that what you were doing?
[Not arguing with Asch because, well... he kind of agrees with that.]
no subject
Because he's actually, really kinda mad about this. More mad than he thought he'd be.
Eventually he sighs and crouches, digging the Jewel out of the mess -it's unscathed, naturally, it would take more than that to damage the heirloom of House Gardios- and rubbing some soot from its blade with his shirt.]
No, Luke, I wasn't. I was just having fun. Even if I wanted to give it a personality, I couldn't; that kind of technology doesn't exist, and even if it did I wouldn't have a clue how to use it.
no subject
[He doesn't particularly care if he's being a dick or not- this isn't funny in the slightest.]
no subject
So there's no difference between him and that, huh.]
no subject
You can shut up now, Asch.
no subject
Yeah, fine. Glare at me when you were the one making it in the first place.
no subject
It's okay. Let's just clean this up and get some breakfast done, okay?
[... And let's put out this little fire that's creeping up on Guy's bed while he's at it.]

[Something pulls in very tight in the center of his chest, but at the same time Guy couldn't help but think to himself, finally. He squares his shoulders and levels a hard stare at Asch. ...then he just gives up and lets himself be furious.
And it feels kind of good.]
Asch, get over yourself. You think you're the only one who can recognize lines that shouldn't be crossed, don't you? Because of what happened to you, and because of all the work you put in to make things right. I understand that, but enough's enough. What I was doing wasn't anything like replicating a person and even if I'd managed to get far enough for it to be similar, you think I wouldn't know stop myself, knowing what I do?
And another thing! Stop calling Luke a replica! I said I wouldn't tell you how to feel about Luke, but as his friend I can sure as hell tell you how not to treat him. You'll refer to him as Luke and you'll treat him as a person, or don't you remember asking me to correct you on that?
no subject
Right now, though, he doesn't care. Because he remembers something else Guy had said once: that he needs to start fighting back.]
How about you get over yourself for once!? You think you know us both so well, but you don't understand! You never have, and you never will! You have no idea what it's like to be replicated, and you don't know what it's like to be one! Don't you dare try to say what does or doesn't count to us!
no subject
And he's frozen again. Asch was actually... considering what it was like to be a replica, was actually putting both of their issues on the same level. Asch had always disregarded how Luke felt over it - always put Luke down because of it, and now...
Luke isn't sure what else to do other than gape. But then he realizes that the reason they're being like this is because they're so angry at each other, more than they should be. So, Luke stands up and hesitantly reaches forward in an attempt to touch Guy's shoulder, to say something to clear up this whole thing.]
Hey-
no subject
[Guy ignores Luke's hand, ignores the fact that Asch said "us," (not "me" not "I" not "the replica" but "us"), ignores the fact that he should probably calm down and try to rationalize this argument before it becomes all about angry feelings-
But it's already there. Too late for serenity and too late for tact.]
What I'm telling you is that you're a jerk with no tact, and I'm sick of listening to you talk like you're the only one who knows the difference between right and wrong!
no subject
[He points to Luke abruptly, his gaze falling on his obviously-startled replica. Maybe he's trying to stop the fight, Asch doesn't care- it needs to be said.]
no subject
All of this is unnecessary, and there are more important things to be worrying about, so Luke takes a step forward and takes in a breath to say something again-]

Is Asch o-
And now Asch just-
... Yeah, all Luke can do is stand there with wide eyes his mouth gaping open for a moment. He's so shocked that he can't really do anything else.]
no subject
It's about damn time.]
no subject
Get the hell off!
no subject
But taking it out on Asch? No, Luke can't accept that. So once he snaps out of it, Luke grits his teeth and moves to grab one of Guy's arms and pull back, trying to make him loosen his hold on Asch.]
Guy, Asch!
no subject
...Asch is still a tactless, cheating asshole though.]
no subject
He doesn't feel like talking anymore.]
no subject
What the hell is wrong with you two?! You're acting like a couple of wild monsters!
no subject
No, Guy was the wild monster here. Whatever.
Guy opts to completely ignore the other two in favor of crouching down and reaching beneath the wreckage of his bed for his safe box, where he's been stockpiling whatever gels and bottles he could scrape together from miscellaneous sources. He pulls out the box, wrestles with it for a bit until it opens and selects an apple gel, wincing as he lifts it to his mouth to tear at the plastic packaging.]
no subject
...Hell. If anything he'd been trying to defend his stupid replica, but of course they'd misunderstood.
Glancing around the room, he knows he should help clean up as well, seeing as he caused the entire mess, but... he really just wants to get the hell out of there, more than anything. And then Guy would bitch him out for doing that. Goddammit. Goddammit. So he just stands there like a lump, trying to decide how to get out of here without inviting another argument.
Why do their fights always come to this?]
