[Uuuuugh, he really doesn't want to do this. Human resources has literally never been his department. Even when he was prepping to become the eventual king of Kimlasca, he had certain social issues that should've been worked on; growing up in Daath and earning a reputation fitting for Asch the Bloody just made them worse.

But he's tired of spending an absurd amount of hours at a bar that he can't decide whether or not he even likes anymore just because no one else is available, especially with half the staff missing. When Norma doesn't even bother showing up to work for several days in a row that basically cements it.]

...Good Spirits is hiring. Come to the bar this afternoon for an interview if you're interested in joining the staff.

[And that's pretty much where he'll be. As usual. But don't expect to get the job just because you show up!! ...Actually, that's might just make him less inclined to hire you, which is the very definition of counter-productive. The standards of Asch the Bloody are high, indeed. The Gordon Ramsey of bartenders]

You never know until you meet me, but if it's YOU then what's your name so I can ask for you?!

"Then really any choice you make has little matter. Weather it be a trained bartender who vanishes or a dunce you are stuck with till they themselves are trained in the art."

So you wouldn't care if nobody came to your bar?

It is? I always thought it just made people really happy and giggly.

[At least, the drunk people he's seen were pretty happy.]

You wound me sir.

[He placed a mock hand over his heart, but ducked behind the counter anyways, glancing around to assess where everything was. ]

Do you want me to take drink orders or be a bus boy?

[ It's a specific talent he has honed over the years. But he nods and picks up a towel and a bottle opener - things any good college kid should know how to use. The specialty drinks he'd be rustier at, but it wasn't hard to mix rum and coke or the usuals. Anything with an umbrella was beyond him though. ]

I guess I missed when you took over this place.

I thought the point of business was to beat out the other guy. Or at least be the best at what you do.

I wouldn't know anything about drugs... the only kind I've ever taken before are medicines when I've been sick, and I'm not sure those really count.

[They certainly weren't anything that he would choose to consume if given the choice, that much is for sure.

Asch's assessment of Emil being an absurd drunk would be fairly accurate, though.]

Considering it's like the only bar in town, I'm not sure "service" makes a difference. So long as I get my drink, I'm happy.

[ He turned to a customer and thank god all they wanted was a beer. It took him a second to find the right one, but he got it and popped the cap with college proficiency and went back to cleaning out glasses.

It was busy work, and he hadn't done it in awhile, but it was serving the purpose. There wasn't anything Star Fleet here, there wasn't anything for him to do, and if he tinkered on his own, his mind wandered to places it really shouldn't. An actual JOB though, that could keep his mind off things. Dealing with people and immediate situations - kept his mind in the now of it.

Well, he hoped it would, anyways. This little experiment might just be a giant bust. ]

[A resigned shrug.]

Not much else to do here.

[And at least it would be somewhat familiar.]

She shrugs a bit, "You do not see the act of training as a chance to make another link with the world around you?"
