[Early in the morning, Asch is by the section of trees close to the river outside House 5, standing in the snow in just his uniform, holding the Key of Lorelei. He seems fixated on whatever it is he's doing, namely holding the Key tip-down into the snow, both hands on the end of the hilt, eyes closed as he focuses. Every few moments you might catch a slight glow around him, little more than a flicker before it fades.

Talk, harass, troll, lurk? He's open for bothering, though he won't like it. |D]

[Asch shrugs. Not noticing just yet.] I'm fine with anything warm.

[Tea it is. Hot chocolate is all nice and good, but it's not like they're ten years old or anything. Guy half-bullies him into the kitchen, turning on both the stove and the oven to warm the room up and retrieving the kettle from the sink.]

[Asch rests the Key against the wall closest to the bedroom hall, sitting down at the table and half-watching Guy, half-gazing out the window, looking a little lost in thought.]

[Man, Asch, you're in a weird mood today. Guy puts the water on to boil and hops up to sit on the counter, watching him.]

[It's a mood and a half, that's for sure. And if he's watching, he'll probably notice an oddly peaceful look on Asch's face.

Also the fact that he's starting to glow on and off again.]

[Peaceful is good. The glowing? Not so good, not if Asch really can somehow still use hyperresonance.] Um, Asch.

[Asch glances sidelong at him, looking like he doesn't quite get it.] What?

...Asch, you're glowing.

[Blink blink- pause. Asch stops immediately, looking down at his hands.]

...I didn't notice.

[Guy slides off the counter with a look more than a little concerned, heading over to Asch's side and lifting his bangs to feel his forehead.]

[Asch doesn't move except to lift a hand to the side of his head, looking a little disoriented.] What the hell...

[And that's enough for Guy.] All right, you're going to bed. C'mon.

I'm not tired, just... [Actually he's not even sure there's a word for what he's feeling. Detached, distracted? Something. Definitely not tired.]

Then humor me for a little bit.

You're being paranoid.

[He is. But he's remembering Luke; the headaches, the collapsing, the light-headedness.

And then he vanished.] ...I know.

[Asch pauses at that, studying Guy's expression for a long moment before averting his eyes.] ...Fine.

[Guy knows that Asch is just doing it to make him feel better, but who cares so long as it gets done? Guy follows Asch into the bedroom, intent on making sure he gets into bed.]

[Asch reluctantly lets Guy bully him into the room, heading over to the bed and sitting down to start taking off his gear. If he has to rest, so be it- he was tired from his efforts anyway, maybe a nap would do him some good.

He just couldn't help it that his knee-jerk reaction to this was no time, I have no time for this.]

...I'll find out what's going on, Guy.

All right. Just don't leave me behind while you do, hm? [Guy takes extra care to make sure Asch is comfortable.]

[Asch looks down, lost in thought for a moment, and it takes him another moment to realize Guy didn't get an answer, so he nods.] ...I'll try.

[The drifting off is worrying Guy something fierce, and he frowns as he tucks Asch in. Pretty much like a mom would.]

[Asch's eyes are focused on his hands, watching them intently as if in any minute they won't be there anymore.]

...Guy. If I-

[And he cuts himself off there, because whatever he has to say probably isn't what Guy needs to hear right now.]

Yes? [And Guy asks for him to continue in the most plain and simple way he can think of. No misinterpreting that.]

[...Oh, Guy. Someday that smile will be your undoing.] ...Guy, if something happens, I don't want you to forget this.
