[It's been a few days since Asch and Luke were split, and someone's finally recovered enough to wake up. There's a lot on his mind, but the first and foremost issue he takes care of, upon finding his journal by the nightstand, is:]

...I need something to eat.

[After which he starts flipping through the journal to see what he's missed, since he'll be damned if he's going to fall out of bed and crawl to the kitchen for it.]

[Asch just wants to play "ignore the twenty questions in favour of our own".]

Who are you? Why are you asking me all of this?

[Oh, you jerk, Asch. Fortunately, Miya's more open to answering those questions than you are.]

Ah, my name is Miyabi! And it's just...I-I feel like I've spoken to you before. Uhm, f-forgive me, but I don't remember your name, sir. Though I recall it having to do with a flame.

[....NOW HE REMEMBERS.]

Y-Yes, I am... [She tries to remember him. Come on, Miyabi, you know this. Something to do with a flame. Fire, burn, blaze, scorch...rooster? Oh, screw it, let's just ask him.] A-And you are?

...Asch. [Probably a good thing she hadn't started guessing aloud.]

Ah, r-right. Asch...I-I'm sorry for before. [She pauses, and pulls on one end of her cap nervously.] Do you have a moment, or--I can let you rest if you just came back.

'A moment'? What is it? [It's not like he's doing anything else - being bedridden sucks - and she seems sincere enough. A bizarre contrast from their last meeting, that much is for sure.]

You name reminded me of something. [Miyabi reaches over on the desk she worked at and procured a small brush and ink pot, sucking on the end of it before dipping it into a bit of ink. She slides the brush over the pages of the journal and draws something after a few minutes.]

...It's a phoenix. [She doesn't know if his land has phoenixes, ffff. But hopefully he appreciates it regardless. She just feels bad for trolling him before, especially since he seems like he just got kidnapped. Or something.]

[~~they must have phoenix something for Guy to have it as his mystic arte /o/~~ Asch is quiet for a while, studying the image. Finally he murmurs a response.]

Phoenix... a bird that bursts into flames and turns to ash. I know of it.

[~~Oh, hey, I forgot about that!~~ You're missing one vital bit of information, Asch. 8|]

Yes. According to legend, they are also reborn from their ashes. [She offers a meek smile.] And one of my gods is also thought of as a phoenix. Uhm...y-your name reminds me of both.

[He remembers that part, actually, but...]

...I'm no phoenix. There's no rebirth for Asch the Bloody.

[Miyabi frowns. That is not the kind of talk she likes to hear, mister. His title makes her pause a moment, but it doesn't deter her for long.]

I never said you were. Merely that your name reminds me of one. Though that doesn't mean you should not live as if you could not be.

[Then he needs to be prepared for her to smack him over the head a few times, if and when they ever meet in person. Miyabi blinks and mulls over how she could explain. She taps her brush on her chin.]

I mean...hm. I mean that you shouldn't be dumb and think little of your life. You're here now, aren't you? Living. So go on living that life and worry about death and rebirth when the time comes.

[Because the vengeful bitchslap of a gnat is totally dangerous.

Also he's trying to keep his temper in check because she is treading in dangerous waters herself. :|]

[Don't make her paint on your face instead. 8| And as for his temper, she just huffs a little at his words, but decides not to pursue it. She was trying to make amends, and arguing would be rather counterproductive.]

If that's what you wish to believe. Do you still need anything, then? I can make you some tea to help you relax your body. [Because everyone and their dog knows you need to relax a little, Asch.]

[She is quite a smart cookie indeed. ...Oooh, tea...]

I wouldn't have offered if I didn't want to, Asch. If you don't want visitors, I'll have a bird send you a flask. [Seeing as how she was going to hitch a ride on one if his house was far enough away.] Though I would like to make sure you're all right.

If you want to come over, no one's stopping you. Just don't expect much. [Fair warning that he is an asshole and will probably be unpleasant company.]

[GOD, ASCH. Miyabi's reconsidering even getting you your damn tea, but she's just going to try and be patient with him. He seems nice deep down, just cranky. But she was cranky after her kidnapping...she thinks. That was still a blur.]

Then I'll be over as soon as I've brewed the tea. It shouldn't take too long. Just keep the window open, if you can. I hope you like chamomile~ It's supposed to be a relaxant.

[And this was even worse than a kidnapping, no wonder he's cranky |D He could use a could relaxant, too. He responds with a vaguely agreeable noise and shuts the journal, going to open his window. Good thing it's starting to warm up outside, or Guy would pitch a fit.]

[It takes her a while to find his house, but once she does, Asch might notice a bird as red as his hair flutter onto the windowpane. It was a cardinal, carrying both a cylindrical flask as well as a teensy glowing passenger, who hops down from its back.

Miybi thanks the bird, who sets its package down carefully, and then looks around for the young man.]

Hello?

[Asch hears the chirp and flutter of a bird at his window, and at the sound he doesn't expect anyone - she'd said she would send a bird with a flask, right? Which meant she wasn't coming. From his position on the bed he couldn't see the window clearly, either. But when he heard the voice, he was puzzled; did she come after all?]
