[It's been a few days since Asch and Luke were split, and someone's finally recovered enough to wake up. There's a lot on his mind, but the first and foremost issue he takes care of, upon finding his journal by the nightstand, is:]

...I need something to eat.

[After which he starts flipping through the journal to see what he's missed, since he'll be damned if he's going to fall out of bed and crawl to the kitchen for it.]

Me too. [Guy rests his chin atop the crown of Asch's head.]

[He's trying not to shake, but it's difficult. He's never been so disturbed, even during his kidnappings.]

Sorry. I should've- [He shakes his head, cutting the sentence short, then tries again.] Sorry...

It's fine. [Guy squeezes Asch a bit.]

[Asch lifts his hands to grip the back of Guy's shirt, pressing his face against his chest again. He doesn't know what else to say, and even if he did, he wouldn't want to say it anyway.

He'd almost lost himself. What could be worse than that?]

[Guy huffs a little through his nose, though it's more out of helplessness than frustration. Asch will talk when he's ready.]

[Yeah you'll be waiting a while, Guy.

But not forever, or it would get old fast. Slowly he pushes back, not moving away completely, but enough to put a bit of comfortable distance between them. He brushes a hand over his eyes and lifts his head higher.]

I need to find a way to keep it from happening again.

How about you concentrate on standing first and we can work our way up from there?

[Asch gets an oddly thoughtful expression on his face, gaze drifting off to the side. After a moment, he looks back at Guy.] Are you going to let me eat yet?

Yup. [And Guy reached for the tray, balancing it on his own lap.] Need some help?

I'm not going to fall over, I can hold the food. [And to demonstrate he reaches out for the bowl. DELIVER FOOD PRZ.]

[Guy doesn't point out that Asch couldn't even hold the glass he offered earlier, but hands him the spoon instead and uncovers the soup.]

[He'll just focus on eating quietly for a while, not wanting to waste any time. He's too hungry to wait, anyway.]

[Guy may look somewhat bored, but he's paying close attention to how steady Asch is as he eats. Gotta make sure the little punk doesn't push himself, after all.]

[He doesn't rush it, but it doesn't take him long to polish it off. Hungry boy was definitely hungry.] ...It was good. [Say thanks, Asch, it's really not difficult.]

Glad to hear it.

We'll do soups for another day, maybe start you on solid food tomorrow night.

...I'm not sick, Guy, you don't need to keep me on a liquid diet.

You haven't really eaten anything in a few days, your stomach might try to force it back up. Would you really like to try vomiting without a lot of strength?

....

[Yeah, okay, he can see the logic of that, but he's not happy about it.]

[You are so cranky, Asch.] Relax, it's just another day.

[He's always cranky, this is nothing new |D] ...Fine, I'll wait...

Glad to hear it. [Guy piled the dirty dishes on the tray and set it aside, reaching over to run his fingers through Asch's hair.] We should probably get you in the tub though. Your hair is gonna look like hell if we give it another day.

[Asch shifts on the bed a bit and lifts a handful of his hair, making a face a scant second later and letting it drop.] You're right about that.

Think you can walk if you let me help you?

Probably. [Deja vu time; not too long ago he'd been in a similar state, forced to rely on Guy and Luke for practically everything. This time, though... he's not as bothered by it. It all seems too surreal to be annoying yet.

Shrugging aside his thoughts, he urges his body back towards the edge of the bed, taking it slow, but not too slow. He's eager to get back on his feet as soon as possible.]

[And Guy stands, taking Asch's hands and helping him to his feet, wrapping his arms around his torso to steady him.] You all right?
