[Have an Asch at your door then, poking in.]

Guy?

[Guy's sitting up and thumbing through his journal, but glances up at Asch upon his entrance with a smile. His voice is a little ragged, but he sounds and looks much better off.]

Hey. Seems like I missed some things.

[Asch doesn't bother hiding his relief at Guy's improvement, heading over to sit beside him on the bed.]

Nothing important. Luceti's been quiet the past few days.

Mmm. [Guy doesn't look up from his journal.]

...I'm sorry I scared you.

[Auto-defense: activate.]

I wasn't scared.

[Of course.]

Oh. Never mind then.

[Stupid Guy, stupid self. He's not going to admit it, but he is going to reach out and grab your hand, holding a little more tightly than normal. Just a silly fever, that's all it was. Nothing to get freaked out about.]

[You stubborn punk. Guy squeezes Asch's hand in return and just lays his journal on his lap, perusing and generally catching up.]

[After a while Asch leans over, half-resting against Guy, though not putting much weight on him since he's sick and all, peering down at the journal with him. He's not sure about what to say - still no good at that - so he just gives Guy some time to read. All he really wanted was the company, anyway.]

[And Guy kisses his temple. Nothing intense, just a little reassurance.]

[Asch is quiet for a while, thinking, until finally he speaks up again, voice faint.]

Huh? [Guy blinks, turning to face Asch a little better. He hadn't expected that.]

[Asch isn't looking at him.]

You spent so much time in the cold because of me, and now you're sick. So I'm sorry.

[So much t...is Asch referring to that stint in the doorway?]

When I was Lorelei. How long were you sitting in the snow like that? You could've caught anything.

I didn't get sick until after that. And then I got sicker because of my own stupid fault, Asch, that wasn't you.

[Obviously doubtful.]

...You said you never got sick.

I was wrong.

[Guy grins lopsidedly and reaches up to tap Asch's cheek.] But I'm okay now. Chin up.

[Asch withholds a sigh, closing his eyes and leaning back. He can try, for Guy's sake.]

I don't like it when people get sick. Don't be so reckless anymore.

[Maybe not a good idea to ask this, but he might as well.]
